Jonah Hill has been hard at work in the Los Angeles region shooting his latest film Outcome, for which he’s directing and co-starring alongside Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer.
But come Saturday, The Wolf Of Wall Street star enjoyed a brief weekend reprieve from helming the black comedy by heading out for a blissful battle with Mother Nature during a day of surfing.
While the temperature topped out in the mid-60s Fahrenheit more inland, it only reached the upper 50s as a high along the coast, forcing him to use a classic black wetsuit.
Looking tan and sporting closely cropped hair and a long and scruffy beard and mustache, the Mid-90s writer and director put his impressive surf skills on full display during his time out on the Pacific Ocean.
Hill, 40, only just took up the sport in the summer 2019 after admitting he had been too scared to give it a go as a youngster.

Before heading out to become one with the waves, the Los Angeles native first did a series of stretching exercises, as well as a prayer, prior to taking his first run of the day.
From there, he did the short run into the surf and began paddling out to a spot where he felt comfortable using as a starting point.
By now, Hill has accumulated between more than four years of experience surfing after living in fear throughout most of his lifetime.
But all that changed in August 2019, compliments of filmmaker Spike Jonze and Beastie Boys star Mike Diamond, whom he credits with getting him into surfing.
‘Been terrified to surf my whole life. Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine,’ the This Is the End star wrote in an Instagram post that showed him posing with an instructor in February 2020.
‘Turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was it so fun and challenging but more so I’m like damn, at 35 you can start doing s**t you’ve always wanted to do,’ he explained at the time.
And from the looks of his frequent outings in the Malibu areas, Hall has not only gotten past his self-imposed fears, he’s actually acquired some real surfing skills.
At one point, after getting in a number of runs on the waves, the funnyman took a break and pulled down his wetsuit down to his waist, which showed off his many tattoos on his chest, stomach and arms.

Hill is currently directing Outcome while working from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ezra Woods.
He has been seen on set with his two lead stars since principal photography began in Los Angeles on March 20.
The story follows Reef Hawk (Reeves), who’s described as a ‘damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip.’
Now sober for five years, Reef takes pride in his progress in life, which includes building a new home, until his world is turned upside down when he receives a call from his crisis lawyer Ira Slitz (Hill), giving him the details of blackmailing scheme.
To find out the identity of his blackmailer, Reef sets out on a mission to make right many of his past wrongs.

Hill made his feature film directing debut with the coming-of-age comedy-drama Mid-90s (2018), that was inspired by his own childhood growing up in Los Angeles.
For his next attempt at directing he helmed the Netflix documentary Stutz (2022), which chronicled the life and career of psychiatrist Dr. Phil Stutz, who also happened to be the Hill’s therapist.
During his career as an actor Hill is best known for such roles as The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Knocked Up (2007), Superbad (2007), Moneyball (2011), 21 Jump Street (2012), This Is The End (2013), The Wolf Of Wall Street (2014) and 22 Jump Street (2014).
So far there hasn’t been an official word on when Outcome will premiere on the Apple TV+ streaming platform.
