JoJo Siwa’s parents ‘love that she brought a guy home,’ according to Abby Lee Miller, who said her former Dance Moms pupil is ‘living her best life’ with boyfriend Chris Hughes.
JoJo, 22, struck up a relationship with the former Love Island star – who is 10 years her senior – when they appeared on Celebrity Big Brother UK earlier this year.
At the time, she defined herself as a lesbian and was in a relationship with the non-binary actor Kath Ebbs, 27. The pair, however, split after JoJo left the reality TV compound.
JoJo – who came out as part of the LBGTQ community in January 2021 – battled with her sexuality during her time on the show, telling a fellow contestant she felt that she was ‘queer’ rather than a ‘lesbian.’
Despite the drama playing out so the public stage, Miller said JoJo is smitten with Hughes, who has received her seal of approval.
‘She’s living her best life. I think they are adorable together,’ she told the Daily Mail. ‘I was with them while they were together in Orlando. The way they look at each other, you can tell that they really like each other.’

JoJo, who reunited with Hughes after jetting to the UK to surprise him earlier this week after spending 10 days apart, sparked a social media frenzy after confirming her relationship.
She came under scrutiny for growing close to her current beau while dating Ebbs, though the dancer has previously insisted she was not unfaithful to her ex and has maintained Hughes had nothing to do with her break up.
When asked how JoJo has coped with the backlash, Miller said: ‘JoJo is laughing about it, she doesn’t care at all.
‘I think she learned it from me, and she needs to keep that in mind as the relationship continues, as long as she doesn’t care about the haters, the better.’
Last week, JoJo, who first appeared on Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition at 9 years old, opened up to YOU magazine about her sexuality and her new relationship.
She revealed that she now identifies as queer, admitting she previously felt ‘pressure’ to call herself a lesbian.
‘When I came out at 17, I said: “I’m pansexual, because I don’t care [about gender],”‘ she said. ‘But then I kind of boxed myself in and I said: “I’m a lesbian.” And I think I did that because of pressure.’

She added: ‘In a weird way, I think it came a little bit from inside the [LGBTQ] community at times. From people I know, from partners I’ve had.
‘You just get put in this world where you feel like, because you now have said, “Oh, I’m a lesbian,” you have to be a lesbian. And the truth is, sexuality is fluid.’
Following the interview, she told fans she was entering a ‘new era’ as she shared a string of images from the shoot.
‘Stepping into something new… and a little scary,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘These photos are different. They’re bold. They’re grown. They’re me. For the longest time, I lived inside a sparkly little bubble — and while I love her, it’s time to find the woman I am becoming.’
