Siwa slipped into a pair of white, combat boots and styled her blonde locks into a sleek ponytail while some locks were braided on top of her head.

For a finishing touch to the look, the dancer also opted for dramatic face makeup that included black and white face point, as well as gold glitter around her eyes.

JoJo had the chance to showcase her dance skills while performing some choreography and was joined by a group of backup dancers.

She performed on a patch of dirt with a large structure towering behind her as smoke surrounded the media personality.

The reel then cut to Siwa standing behind a rock on a grassy hill as she pointed her finger towards an object off camera.

She later was seen walking along the dirt and dust as some of the backup dancers were laying on the ground, smoke still filling the air.

The teaser ended with Siwa taking a look at a scene that had been filmed on set, and excitedly yelled out, ‘D**n!’

Text was added over the clip in white lettering and read: ‘JoJo Siwa Choose Your Fighter Coming Soon.’

Social media users jumped to the comment section to share their thoughts on the upcoming music video, with one fan typing out, ‘It’s giving power rangers meets ancient Egypt.’

Others pointed out that the track was originally sung by music artist, Emeline, with one writing, ‘Didnt Emeline make this song?’

In response, JoJo explained, ‘She’s one of the 4 writers on it.’

The latest teaser for Choose Your Fighter comes shortly after Siwa revealed that she does not write her own songs.

In April, the TV personality dropped her single titled, Karma, which was soon wrapped up in controversy following claims that she had ‘stolen’ the song – which she denied.

The star also took to her TikTok page on Friday and expressed, ‘I don’t WRITE my songs. I SING them. I have an incredible team of songwriters that write songs and pitch them to me to see if [they] wanna make the song mine!!’

‘It’s kinda like when you buy clothes… you don’t “MAKE” it, but it’s yours after you buy it! They also ALWAYS get their credit and, of course, their check.’

She added, ‘I do enjoy the writing process, however for me as an artist that is not my specialty so I like to work with different songwriters to sing their lyrcis, add a feeling to it, and ultimately bring the song to life!’

In the caption, JoJo penned, ‘Couldn’t do my job with out my incredible team of song writers… Solly, Emeline, Meghan Trainor, Matthew Koma, Rock Mafia, The Futuristics, and so many more.’

Throughout the background of the reel, she also played a snippet of her upcoming single, Choose Your Fighter.

‘Ok but emeline is the one SINGING this song,’ one TikTok user pointed out in the comments, with another adding, ‘But Emeline’s vocals are still on the track.’

Following the release of her Karma music video, claims surfaced that she had ‘stolen’ the song.

The track was originally recorded as Karma’s A B***h by Brit Smith in 2012 after Miley Cyrus passed on it for her 2010 album Can’t Be Tamed – but was never released.

While talking to TMZ in April, Siwa – who recently ditched her family-friendly image amid a major rebrand – explained, ‘I did not steal anything. There’s no such thing as stealing.’

‘What happens is people write songs, and then, they don’t do anything with them. Then, a few years later, it makes sense for another artist.’

JoJo added that the song was ‘old’ and expressed, ‘I was pitched it. I loved it, was obsessed with it, so I grasped onto it. That’s a very normal thing.’

Around the time of the single’s release, Siwa was also slammed after she said she was creating a new genre of music called ‘gay pop’ following her lesbian romp music video for Karma.

However, she later admitted that she did invent ‘gay pop’ but also explained that she still wanted to make the genre ‘bigger.’

While appearing on SiriusXM’s Hits 1 Miami With Mack & Jen, she stated, ‘So, here’s the thing. Gay pop, right, is a thing that people have done, but it is not an official genre of music. You know what I mean?’

‘It is a style, but it is how there’s rap, there’s rock, there’s R&B, there’s pop. Gay pop is not an official genre of music. If you look on the iTunes charts, there is no – there’s a pop chart.’

JoJo added that ‘gay pop’ should have its own specific category, stating, ‘Not just like, “Oh, I’m a gay pop artist.” Yes, there’s so many gay pop artists.’

‘Oh my God. There’s so many, but I think that those gay pop artists do deserve a bigger home than what they have right now.’
