JoJo Siwa Shares Why She Won’t Stay in the UK and a Favorite Moment with Chris Hughes

JoJo Siwa has gushed over her new boyfriend Chris Hughes and revealed why she won’t be staying in the UK after confirming their romance.

The dancer, 22, and the Love Island star, 32, formed a close bond in the Celebrity Big Brother house last month, but have kept it coy when grilled about the status of their relationship ever since.

But JoJo finally appeared to confirm their romance during an on-stage appearance in London earlier this week, while Chris described his relationship status as ‘happy’.

Now, JoJo has given a further insight into her bond with Chris as she revealed how they had been spending their time together during her visit to the UK for her shows at Colours Hoxton.

She revealed one of her favourite moments with him during an Instagram Live on Saturday, explaining how she had beat him at the video game Dr. Mario.

When asked by a fan where Chris was, she replied: ‘He’s just left, we had the funniest last hour, long story short there’s this game I’m freakishly good at […].

‘I could compete at the Olympics, he thought he would be able to beat me at it, he had no chance, I’m better at Dr Mario than I am at indoor skydiving or dance.’

‘It was so funny, he had no chance and I knew that. Obviously I won, I destroyed him, not even a competition,’ she added.

Gushing over their competitive antics, she went on: ‘Honestly, like might be my top five of my favourite moments together, because that was funny!’

Speaking to her followers while getting ready for dance lessons in her hotel room, JoJo also revealed why she won’t stay in the UK and will jet back to the US soon.

Responding to a fan who asked her if she could stay in the UK, she explained: ‘I mean, no, but yeah. I miss my puppy, I’ve got my studio, my family, my friends.’

JoJo also appeared happier than ever as she grinned from ear-to-ear when one follower asked her how she met Chris, no doubt after seeing their smitten snaps on her Instagram.

She replied: ‘We met on Big Brother! I’ve never been asked that, everyone knows! That makes me so happy, that made me really happy to answer that. That was fun.’

On Wednesday, JoJo took to Instagram to reflect on her London shows, admitting she has never felt so ‘content and happy,’ and described her first few days in the UK as ‘the perfect time with perfect people in a perfect place’.

Her post included a slew of snaps from her performance, including a sweet image that showed herself and Chris embracing backstage.

She captioned her post: ‘London… processing the last few days. The last 2 nights were more than just concerts — they were moments I will never forget.

‘There’s no way to quite explain how content and how happy I have been feeling personally and professionally.

‘I don’t feel the need to convince anyone because for the first time since I was 17 I’m not trying to convince myself of that.

‘To everyone who has shared kind messages and words of love, I see you all and I feel you all. Thank you for opening your hearts and supporting mine.

‘Means the absolute world to me, the concerts…. hearing you sing, seeing you dance/jump around, crying together, it all means so much and hits deeper and deeper every time. I’m so excited to be able to do this all summer on tour, gosh gonna be a beautiful time. Hopefully see you there:)

‘Just a lil post dump of a beautiful first 3 days I’ve had in London. Perfect time with perfect people in a perfect place.’

Chris recently revealed his relationship status with JoJo, after the singer seemingly confirmed their romance with a sweet on-stage tribute.

The ITV star had a simple one-word answer when asked whether he and JoJo were in a relationship during a Q&A session.

The presenter admitted: ‘Happy. That’s my relationship status – happy. Yeah, I’m just happy that’s good. I’m happy with that.’

Despite the guarded answer, Chris still gushed about his close relationship with JoJo, admitting she’s become his ‘favourite topic of conversation.’

He said: ‘She’s just just my favourite human and somebody I can literally talk about relentlessly.’

During her performance in London on Tuesday, JoJo seemed to confirm their friendship with Chris had blossomed into romance, before breaking down in tears as she told fans she feels ‘incredibly loved’.

The star once again performed her cover of Bette Davies’ Eyes, and changed the end of the song’s lyrics to sing ‘Chris Hughes’ Eyes’.

Admitting she’d changed the end of the song because it made her ‘happy,’ she added: ‘I’ll tell you this much, if it’s not obvious, that ending lyric is very much true,’ sparking a huge cheer from the fans in attendance.

Chris had attended JoJo’s first show in London the previous night, but the star admitted he couldn’t attend Tuesday’s performance.

Instead, she brought along the orange beanie he’d given her while in the house, after she caught Chris singing one of her hits while she was still asleep.

She told the audience: ‘This morning I woke up and all I heard was [sings Nobody Can Change me] he was singing, so I figured today I’d bring a little bit of him while I sing this next song.’

As the show came to a close, JoJo wept at the crowd’s reception, telling her fans that after once feeling she was ‘one of the most hated people in the world,’ she felt ‘so special and so loved’.
