Johnny Depp fans show up for Modi at San Sebastian Film Festival

Fans of actor Johnny Depp came out in droves to support the actor as he was getting ready to premiere his new directorial effort.

The 61-year-old actor had a massive throng of fans waiting for him as he arrived at his hotel ahead of the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain on Monday.

His new film Modi – Three Days on the Wings of Madness – which Depp directs – will have its world premiere at the festival on Tuesday.

The actor and director was spotted greeting some of the fans who were waiting for him and taking some selfies.

The outing comes just weeks after Depp unveiled a massive dental makeover to fans earlier this month.

Depp was spotted donning a powder blue suit with a coat and matching vest over a grey dress shirt with no tie.

The actor also donned lightly-tinted sunglasses while sporting a goatee with his black hair falling to his chin.

The filmmaker accessorized with a number of different rings and completed his look with black dress shoes.

After arriving at the hotel, Depp made his way to the throng of fans waiting for him, even giving a few fans a hug.

While Depp doesn’t star in Modi – his second feature film at the helm following 1997’s The Brave with Marlon Brando – the cast includes Al Pacino, Riccardo Scamarcio and Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise co-star Stephen Graham.

The film is described as, ‘a 72 hour whirlwind through the streets of WWI Paris,’ following Italian bohemian artist Modigliani (Riccardo Scamarcio).

The film follows the artists as he, ‘attempts to out maneuver bombs, policemen, girlfriends and critics in a increasingly desperate search of a home for his art.’

The film reunites Depp and Pacino for the first time since their 1997 film Donnie Brasco, where, according to Variety, they first spoke about the project.

Depp said of the iconic artist, ‘Modigliani was, of course, one of the great contemporary artists of all time. But he also represented an era and point of view where new possibilities still existed.’

‘His vision fascinates me. He doggedly walked to the beat of his own drum, and possessed a natural allergy for convention during a time where the norm was being openly challenged across every medium,’ Depp revealed to Variety.

‘It would be foolish not to admit that everything Modigliani ever stood for, and continues to stand for, resonates deeply within me,’ he said

“I feel immensely fortunate to be given the opportunity to, along with a sublime cast and crew, capture his world in three days

Jenna Ortega Explores Venice Before Beetlejuice Premiere

Jenna Ortega was seen exploring Venice on Tuesday, just hours after arriving in Italy for the renowned film festival.

The 21-year-old actress, whose eagerly awaited sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to open the festival, made a stylish impression in a short black mini skirt and matching top.

Maintaining a low profile with dark sunglasses, she explored the city while accessorizing with a cream designer handbag and white high heels.

During her outing, she frequently paused to capture photos of the stunning surroundings.

The Scream star — who plays Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Winona Ryder’s Lydia Deetz in Tim Burton’s sequel — was among several A-listers, including Angelina Jolie and Sigourney Weaver, arriving in Venice ahead of the film festival, which kicks off on Wednesday.

The outing comes after Jenna looked back on the time when she was mistakenly linked to Johnny Depp.

During a video interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, the actress was asked about the most outrageous rumor she had ever heard about herself.

She pointed to the speculation that she was in a ‘serious relationship’ with 61-year-old Johnny Depp.

The rumor gained traction last year when the two were falsely linked amid claims they were both involved with the Beetlejuice sequel.

‘Probably that I was in a serious relationship with Johnny Depp and I wanted everybody to leave us alone. It’s so insane to me. Like I never spoke on that, I never said anything like that,’ she told the outlet.

In the same interview, Jenna revealed she auditioned for Zendaya‘s Chani role in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movies.

The actress shared that she auditioned for Dune when she was around 15, though she noted that the process was shrouded in secrecy.

‘I remember just being a big fan of that film and the franchise and everything like that and being really excited for that interview because Denis is one of my favorite filmmakers,’ she added.

When asked what role she believes she auditioned for, Ortega said, ‘I think it was Chani, I think it was Zendaya’s, but they weren’t saying that, everything was very secret.’

Jenna recently shared her experience of meeting Winona for the first time on the set of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

‘She was so warm and welcoming and kind and inviting right from the jump, and I couldn’t be more grateful,’ Ortega revealed to the New York Times.

‘The way Winona and I got along was quite weird. It was like we were reading each other’s minds a little bit,’ she added.

The closest Kate Moss came to making it big in Hollywood was dating Johnny Depp.

But if you ever wondered how she might have looked in one of those iconic Tinseltown PR photo stills, look no further.

The supermodel – who celebrated her 50th birthday in January – had a touch of the young Lauren Bacall about her as she vamped it up for a new Charlotte Tilbury mascara campaign in diamonds and black gloves.

Her long hair, put to the side, was curled and she wore a black lace dress as she showcased her natural beauty and youthful looks.

She was joined by supermodel Jourdan Dunn, 33, who is also a regular in Ms Tilbury’s campaigns, to promote the launch of her new Exagger-eyes Volume mascara.

Ms Moss is best friends with Ms Tilbury and the photoshoot marks one of many she has done for the British makeup artist. The pair met aged 19 on a magazine shoot in the 1990s and Ms Moss is even the godmother to Ms Tilbury’s children.

The model, who was discovered at the tender age of 14, was one of the biggest models of the 90s, while Ms Tilbury soon became one of the most sought-after makeup artists of the era.

She has been an inspiration for many Charlotte Tilbury innovations over the years, becoming the face of the Beautiful Skin Foundation last year.

Ms Moss is also said to have been the muse for the original cult classic lipstick, Pillow Talk, with Ms Tilbury revealing the model was one of the first to wear it on a red carpet.

Speaking at the new product launch, she said the shoot for ‘Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara’ was one of her all-time favourites, adding that it ‘made me feel like a Hollywood screen siren’.

Justin Baldoni ‘Screwed’ on set of ‘It Ends With Us’ film

The It Ends With Us cast and crew have not all sided with Blake Lively, a source has claimed, alleging that many people feel Justin Baldoni was ‘screwed’ creatively.

In recent weeks there have reports of major ‘creative differences’ and conflict between the co-stars as they embark on separate press tours.

But production sources have now quashed brewing rumours that the entire cast are standing with Blake, 37, saying that many in the crew view director and star Justin, 40, favourably.

Speaking to TMZ, sources claimed that Justin was ‘generally a nice guy to work with and cared a lot about the production’.

The claims came just hours after The Hollywood Reporter revealed Justin had hired a crisis pr manager – the same one used by Johnny Depp during his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Rumours of conflict between the two lead stars sprouted on TikTok ahead of the release of It Ends With Us after eagle-eyed fans noticed that Justin was not present at press events promoting the film.

Fans also speculated that something was amiss among the cast after Justin and Blake didn’t appear to pose together for any photos at their film’s premiere.

TMZ reported that there was an obvious creative struggle on set, with sources claiming Blake was ‘eager to be seen as a creator’.

Justin presided over an ‘extremely difficult’ environment for cast and crew, Page Six reported in recent days, quoting multiple sources, noting that Blake was personally ‘uncomfortable’ amid filming.

A source told the outlet: ‘None of the cast enjoyed working with Justin – they certainly didn’t talk to him at the premiere.’

Earlier on Wednesday, it was revealed Justin hired a crisis public relations firm to represent him amid the situation.

Justin is turning to the well-regarded PR crisis manager Melissa Nathan for help, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Melissa is best known for representing Johnny Depp during his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The actor, who also directed the hit romance film, addressed the on-set ‘friction’ between himself and Lively — who was recently blasted by fans over an interview she did with her costars — in an interview with ELLE UK on Tuesday.

Melissa launched her firm The Agency Group in June, and her initial clients included Depp, Drake, The Chainsmokers, Logan Paul and more.

The Agency Group is based in Los Angeles and New York, with a satellite office in Washington, DC.

Melissa had previously worked for the crisis management leader Matthew Hiltzik at his Hiltzik Strategies agency.

It was there that she represented Depp during his defamation trial against Heard, but the controversial actor jumped ship to join her once her new firm was announced.

Justin, who was previously best known for a major role in the acclaimed rom-com series Jane The Virgin, is turning to Melissa’s crisis PR skills in the wake of damaging headlines after he was alleged to have made Lively feel personally ‘uncomfortable’ amid shooting of their future hit film.

But the alleged tensions between Justin and Blake reportedly go well beyond the filming of It Ends With Us to the movie’s post-production period.

According to sources who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, there was a major break between Justin and Blake after principal photography had ended over two warring cuts of the film, which is adapted from the bestselling 2016 Colleen Hoover novel.

Blake reportedly hired the editor Shane Reid to make a cut of the film that was separate from the one Justin and the two credited editors were working on.

Shane had previously worked as an editor on Deadpool & Wolverine, which Blake’s husband Ryan Reynolds stars in, co-wrote and produced. She also had a cameo role in the superhero blockbuster, as did several of their children.

Shane’s work on a cut of It Ends With Us ultimately didn’t earn him a screen credit, and it’s unclear if any portions of his Blake-commissioned cut were integrated into the theatrical cut, which is attributed to Oona Flaherty and Robb Sullivan.

On Tuesday, Justin addressed the on-set ‘friction’ as he promoted his new film amid the feud rumours.

He described how tension during production can lead to ‘beautiful art’ as he promoted the new movie during an interview with ELLE UK.

The Jane The Virgin actor opened up about the challenges of the dual roles when he described how strain can benefit a film.

‘It’s very challenging to act and direct, and especially with a project like this,’ he explained. ‘There was a lot of pressure playing such a complex role like Ryle and, of course, as a filmmaker, you’re always navigating personalities.

‘There are all these things that happen every day on set, there’s always friction that happens when you make a movie like this. Then at the end of the day, it’s that friction, I believe, that creates the beautiful art.

‘Everything in life needs friction to grow. And look, we created something so beautiful and so magical, and it was hard, and it was worth it at the same time. And I grew so much as both a filmmaker, an actor and as a person throughout this experience.’

People reported on Monday that the core cast and author Colleen ‘will have nothing to do with’ Justin

Sources told DailyMail.com on Friday that Justin behaved in a ‘chauvinistic’ and ‘borderline abusive’ manner during filming of the motion picture, and had been ‘dismissive’ of suggestions made by Lively ‘during scenes depicting abuse.’

The source added that Justin ‘failed to consider Blake’s character’s perspective, instead focusing solely on what he believed was the abusive male viewpoint’ and that ‘his approach was very chauvinistic, creating a tense atmosphere on set.

‘Justin almost became the character in the sense that some women on set felt he was borderline abusive to them and that he was unprofessional and unapologetic.’

Justin did speak positively about Blake, calling her a ‘creative powerhouse’ and comparing her acting prowess to elite sports car Ferrari.

‘It’s like the difference between driving a Toyota Camry or like a Ferrari. You’re like acting with somebody who’s like a Ferrari of an actor,’ Justin said.

‘You move a little bit and then they respond, and it really was incredible just in terms of helping me craft the performance.

‘She touched so many aspects of this production, and everything she touched she made better. She’s so responsive and she’s so reactive.’

Private Investigator Joins Team Depp: Revealing the Truth Behind Amber Heard’s Allegations

Paul Barresi says he is still haunted by the expression on Amber Heard’s face as she gave her now infamous testimony to a U.S. courtroom in 2022 claiming that her former partner Johnny Depp sexually assaulted her with a bottle of bourbon.

The jury was not convinced, returning their unanimous verdict in Depp’s favour. Barresi?

He can’t make sense of it, and God knows he has tried more than most.

‘The thing is, I’d seen that expression before, on my mother’s face, when my father attacked her,’ says the 77-year-old former wrestler. He rises to his feet and crosses his California kitchen.

He starts to re-enact what he saw that day in his own childhood kitchen, leaping from the fridge to the hob, sliding down to the floor as his mother did, after his father had gone for her.

Paul Barresi is the California-based private investigator who, in 2019, was hired by Amber Heard’s legal team to find the dirt on Johnny Depp

He mimes pots crashing, his father lashing out, his mother cowering, terrified for her life. ‘My father had been drinking. She had poured his alcohol down the sink. I was standing at the entrance to the kitchen, frozen. The expression on my mother’s face will never leave me — and I saw it on Amber’s face that day.’

He shrugs. ‘No one believed her. And she is an actor. I’ve wondered if she witnessed something else — nothing to do with Depp — that she could call on. Still, it troubles me.’

Lest there be any doubt, he still feels the jury returned the correct verdict. ‘I found no evidence that Depp was capable of that sort of violence.’ This, in a nutshell, is why the Depp v Heard debacle continues to fascinate, even two years after that explosive trial.

Everyone has an opinion. A docu- series about the trial is trending on social media and is currently top of the Netflix charts. Armchair detectives are still pulling the evidence to pieces. The whole world still seems to be gripped, and to be taking sides.

But who is Paul Barresi and why should his take on it matter? Well, he has been right up to his neck in the evidence, he claims. A pile of it sits on the table in front of him.

‘I spoke to hundreds of people, everything’s here,’ he says, tapping it. ‘Every taped conversation, email conversation. I spent three months on it, left no stone unturned.’

Barresi is the California-based private investigator who, in 2019, was hired by Amber Heard’s legal team to find the dirt on Depp. Or as Barresi himself puts it, ‘I was hired to find evidence to support the idea that Johnny was a mean-spirited, irascible human being with a proclivity for violence.’

He set about establishing exactly that — perhaps, he admits now, thinking, even subconsciously that in being able to ‘help’ Amber Heard, supposed victim of male oppression, he was remembering his own mother and what she suffered.

‘I really wanted to find that,’ he says, of his brief, which was to provide the ammunition that would destroy Johnny Depp. Barresi — a colourful and controversial character — describes himself as a Hollywood fixer. Certainly his previous client list reads like a Who’s Who of Hollywood. He has worked for or on behalf of Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone, Eddie Murphy and Gerard Butler.

‘I’m the last-resort man,’ he tells me. ‘When people have exhausted all the other options, they come to me. I’ll climb every tree I have to.’

Do you have to climb many trees as a Hollywood private investigator? ‘I literally climbed one to serve papers on a particular producer that everyone thought was untouchable,’ he chuckles. ‘When I swung down, on his carport as he drove in, his son thought I was a superhero. He said, ‘That man is no friend. Don’t speak to him.’

Maybe they should make a Netflix drama about Paul Barresi, because he is as interesting as any of his clients. He’d style himself as the hero, obviously, but there are those in Hollywood who would put him firmly in the villain camp. ‘Sometimes I operate in the grey areas,’ is how he puts it.

His very entry into the Depp-Heard soap opera has just added more foam to the mix, though.

There was a twist to his assignment worthy of any Hollywood blockbuster. Try as he might, he ultimately failed to uncover any real dirt on Depp, to the point where he switched allegiances.

Barresi has now written (and self-published) a book about his experiences, which are so complimentary it could have the subtitle: Why Johnny Depp Is A Lovely Guy.

After going public about his trawl through Depp’s life, he received a thank you from Depp himself, via his lawyer, for speaking out. It was another extraordinary development in the Hollywood drama to end all dramas. Doesn’t switching sides, or at least going public about how there was very little dirt to be found, break every rule about what a private investigator does? ‘I never signed any non-disclosure agreement,’ he says.

So what did his three-month search turn up? What’s striking is how fondly he speaks of Depp, whom he has never met.

Poking around in the recesses of Depp’s life — ‘doing the research was like going down into the catacombs’ — gave him quite the insight, though.

No one is perfect, and he was a mumbling, fumbling, stumbling drunk,’ he says, starting with the worst bits. ‘He was obnoxious. He was ungentlemanly at times, but a lot of that can be attributed to the people with whom he associated. I think that they were the bane of his existence.

‘For some reason, and I still don’t understand why, he latched onto people that really were no good for him.’ Are we talking about the same Johnny Depp who once threatened to set a journalist on fire? Barresi himself verified this as true in his investigations.

‘That was a thing he said — but I do think he meant it as a sort of joke.’

Nice guy who got in with the wrong crowd, then? ‘There were people who never had a bad word to say about him, but there were also those who wouldn’t talk. So any good investigator will go back to the beginning, because that’s always where you find the truth.’

Convinced that if Depp was a misogynist it would have been apparent his whole life, Barresi banged on doors, sent emails, tracked down friends, former colleagues, old girlfriends. He says that, given the Heard legal team briefing, there would be dirt galore to find. And yet no.

Depp was described as a ‘gentleman’s gentleman’ and someone who ‘doesn’t have a mean bone in his body’, despite the disturbing accusations that had been levelled against him. Friends of Depp also told Barresi that Depp had ‘respect and adoration for women’ — in contrast to Heard’s claims that he was physically and mentally abusive.

Depp ultimately lost a 2020 libel case heard at the High Court in London against a UK newspaper that had branded him a ‘wife-beater’. But in the U.S. in 2022, a second libel trial in Virginia against Heard ruled in Depp’s favour, with a jury awarding him a total of $15million (£11.5million).

Barresi can’t be sure about how much of his ‘evidence’ was used, but since very little of it was helpful to Heard’s legal team, it’s safe to assume not much. But was there a precise point at which he realised that, emotionally, he was switching sides?

‘There was a point in the investigation where, yes, I thought I had been hired on a faulty assumption, to look for evidence to prove something that wasn’t the case. But that didn’t stop me from continuing to work for Amber. I really did want to do a belt-and-braces job on it. I really wanted to find that Johnny had this in him.’

That he has called his book Johnny Depp’s Accidental Fixer is curious, given who was payrolling him.

He does seem to have come to idolise Depp. The more he dug, the more parallels he found with his own life. ‘My upbringing was quite similar to Johnny Depp’s, actually,’ he admits. ‘He had a violent father. He wanted to escape.’ He talks of being moved when he discovered Johnny’s mother had taken out a loan, which led to the seizing of the family’s possessions when they couldn’t pay. ‘They took his little TV, the thing that had provided him with an escape. That touched me.’

Paul Barresi was born just outside Boston, like Depp to a civil servant father with a penchant for aggression and alcohol.

Small in stature, Barresi began weightlifting to bulk up, and joined the U.S. military. He served in Vietnam before being discharged in 1971, when he became involved in the world of personal training. He worked as a bodyguard and personal trainer for movie movers-and-shakers, and through them, stars, too.

Joan Rivers was an early client. He says she squeezed his pecs and joked that he could train her, too, so he did. ‘She was a pure-hearted woman who put other people’s needs before her own.’

His introduction to Hollywood proper came by chance, when the crew of The Wild Party (1975) were filming near his gym. He lingered by the set and was spotted by the producer Ismail Merchant, of Merchant Ivory fame, who asked him if he wanted a job.

‘He said he was looking for someone local to act as a production assistant, run errands. They had me running round, getting nail polish and artichokes.’

Artichokes? ‘Yes, they were for Raquel Welch. I didn’t know who she was. I was just giving artichokes to a pretty girl in a robe.’

Barresi says there was talk of him being in an orgy scene but the producer changed his mind. ‘I would have loved to have been in an orgy scene with Raquel Welch. It would have made me a star!’

He was cast instead as a bartender, and was there when there were discussions about a scene which involved Raquel having to stand up on the bar. How would she get up there? ‘I offered to lift her but she said ‘We have choreographers for that’.

Later, she was a little more cordial.’ According to Barresi, the pair ‘had a kiss’.

His easy charm — and easy-on-the-eye looks — won him many admirers, including a producer who happened to be casting for models to pose for Playgirl magazine. ‘It was naked. I was determined to be a serious actor, but asked the wrong person for advice. I should never have done it, but that was how I got into taking my clothes off.’

From here it was a hop and a skip into the adult movie industry, which resulted in his family pretty much disowning him.

But how on earth do you get from the porn business into the private detective one? Very easily, he says.

‘You have two major industries in Hollywood. You have the movie industry, then you have the sex industry, which follows the movie industry like the moon.’

Put simply, he was a guy who knew people — and gossip. One of his big breaks into private investigating came when an old girlfriend — who happened to be Michael Jackson’s maid — appeared on his doorstep, with her new husband. They brought troubling claims that they had witnessed Jackson sexually abuse a young man and wanted him to broker a deal with the National Enquirer, lover of sex and sleaze exposes.

‘They trusted me,’ he says. He recorded their account.

It was potentially explosive stuff, but then the couple engaged the services of a lawyer who, he says, tried to ‘write him out of the deal’. And at that point Barresi spotted an opportunity for self-advancement, and sent his recording to an established celebrity investigator working for Michael Jackson’s team, saying ‘this information would be useful for him’.

He still describes himself as a private investigator, even though he lost his licence in 2011, and there are many in Hollywood who refuse to have anything to do with him, but clearly not Amber Heard’s legal team because it was in 2019 that he was engaged there.

Much of his celebrity work over the years can’t be reported, either because he has to stay quiet or because his claims are too toxic to print. He has been involved in very high-profile cases though, once confronting a stalker on Sharon Stone’s behalf.

During Tom Cruise’s messy divorce battle with Nicole Kidman, Tom’s legal team became aware of an individual who had claimed to have had a sexual relationship with Cruise.

‘There was nothing in it,’ Barresi says today. ‘But my brief was ‘Get this kid in. We need to interrogate him. That was the word — interrogate, not question’.’ After being interrogated, this man dropped the allegations.

Barresi is currently working for an actress who has #MeToo type complaints against a Hollywood producer. Which brings us back to the Depp-Heard debacle. He remains sympathetic — to a point — to Amber, but blames the #MeToo movement for the fact that this whole case came close to ruining her. ‘Amber was sailing high but when she lost, I think it took a little of the thunder out of the #MeToo debate.’

He’s still bothered about that look on her face, though. Which will hardly stop the speculation about this now long-running soap opera.

Winona Ryder’s Turbulent Romances in Her 30s

Winona Ryder has confessed she had ‘two disastrous relationships’ in her thirties that she looks back on and asks herself ‘What the hell was I thinking?’.

The actress, 52, said during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar this week: ‘In my 30s, I had two disastrous relationships that were – they weren’t wrong, but this was before you would ever think to Google someone.

‘I was dating the type of person who only lets you know a few weeks in that they’re in a relationship with someone else. And you’re just like, “What the f***?”‘

Naturally, the rare insight into her previous relationships has left fans questioning who could the exes be that Winona is referring to?

The Stranger Things star, who has been with Scott Mackinlay Hahn for 14 years, has a star-studded love life.

She got engaged to Johnny Depp aged 17 after five months of dating and had a three-year romance with Matt Damon which ended when Winona was 28.

Here we take a look at what is known of Winona’s dating history during her thirties:

Winona had a short-lived romance with Emmy award-winning director Henry Alex-Rubin, now 47, in 2006. The pair first met while working on 1999’s Girl, Interrupted but they didn’t start dating until years later.

The actress would have been 34 at the time.

In 2020, he went on to direct documentaries Murderball and the 2012 feature film Disconnect.

‘He’s so great. He really is. I’m really lucky,’ Winona said in her interview.

Winona is notoriously private when it comes to her love life and so it could be the actress is referring to exes who are not known.

‘I’m a serial monogamist,’ the actress told Net-a-Porter’s The Edit in July 2016. ‘I was single for a while and dating and I just didn’t know how to do it! I’ve always been like that. But marriage? I don’t know.’

‘I’d rather never have been married than been divorced a few times. Not that there’s anything wrong with divorce, but I don’t think I could do it if that was a possibility,’ Ryder shared. ‘When your parents are madly in love for 45 years, your standards are really high.’

They were together for four years.

Winona went on to defend Johnny during his blockbuster trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

She wrote in a statement: ‘We were together as a couple for four years. I counted him as my best friend, and as close to me as family.

‘I obviously was not there during his marriage to Amber, but, from my experience, which was so wildly different, I was absolutely shocked, confused and upset when I heard the accusations against him.

‘The idea that he is an incredibly violent person is the farthest thing from the Johnny I knew and loved. I cannot wrap my head around these accusations.’

The case in Fairfax, Virginia came out on Depp’s side.

Amber was ordered to pay $10million in compensatory damages and $5million (later reduced to $365,000) in punitive damages following the six-week case, while Johnny was told to give her $2million by the same courtroom after Heard countersued for defamation.

‘He’s so great. He really is. I’m really lucky,’ Ryder said of Scott whom she is often seen with at Hollywood events.

Now she is reprising her character, Lydia Deetz, for the upcoming sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

‘I felt bad for her,’ she explained.

Lydia Deetz reminds Ryder of a younger version of herself, she noted:

‘In my 30s, I had two disastrous relationships that were—they weren’t wrong, but this was before you would ever think to Google someone,’ she said.

‘You clearly write when you’re depressed or upset,’ shared the Petaluma native.

‘I tend to not write when I’m really happy,’ she added.

‘I was going through them and just asking myself, How?’ I was clearly trying to deal with …’

She then said: ‘It was very sad. I was clearly trying to believe the best and to give grace to myself. But I was taking care of everything but myself.’

    She also talked meeting Burton.

‘I was sitting there, and this guy came in holding a folder, who I thought was a messenger or something. We started talking about Edward Gorey. About half an hour into this conversation, I feel like I’m making a friend, and I ask him, ‘Do you know Tim Burton? This is his office, right?’ And he went, ‘Well, that’s me.’ I didn’t know that directors could look like Tim.

Private Investigator Shocked by Amber Heard’s Support for Johnny Depp

The one-time private investigator hired by Amber Heard’s legal team to dig up dirt on Johnny Depp admits he was stunned at the amount of unwavering support towards the actor while he had been facing abuse allegations.

In his new self-published book, Johnny Depp’s Accidental Fixer, released on July 5,  Paul Barresi, 74, recalls interviewing 100 people ahead of Depp’s libel trials against his ex-wife, only to find that the majority were still on the star’s side.

They described Depp as a ‘gentleman’s gentleman’ and as someone who ‘doesn’t have a mean bone in his body’, despite the disturbing accusations that had been leveled against him.

Friends of the Pirates of the Caribbean star also told Barresi that Depp had ‘respect and adoration for women’ – in contrast to Heard’s claims that he was physically and mentally abusive.

Heard’s team hired the former private investigaor in July 2019 to turn up information that could be useful in her case against Depp, indefamation trials in the UK and the US

But according to Barresi, a former adult film actor turned P.I. and Hollywood fixer  whose previous clients include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise and Sylvester Stallone, he had embarked on an ‘unwavering quest for the truth’ about Depp, even if the findings were not what Heard’s lawyers wanted.

Barresi, who lost his private investigator’s license in 2012 for faking a report, was first hired by Heard’s team in July 2019 to turn up information that could be useful against Depp, ahead of both defamation trials in the UK and the US.

Depp ultimately lost the 2020 libel case heard at the High Court in London against a UK newspaper which had branded him a ‘wife-beater’, with a judge ruling he had put Heard in fear of her life.

In his new book, 'Johnny Depp's Accidental Fixer', Paul Barresi, 74, reveals his shock at the tremendous amount of support towards the actor amid his legal battle against ex-wife Amber Heard

But back in the US, a second libel trial in Virginia against Heard ruled in Depp’s favor, with a jury awarding him a total of $15million – $10million in compensation and $5million in punitive damages.

Barresi does not specify which case he was working on, only that he was given the instructions to ‘delve into the life and history of Johnny Depp and uncover evidence of his alleged physical abuse towards women’.

He was told to dig up witness statements, videos, photos or anything else that could substantiate Heard’s claims against Depp.

But once Barresi began speaking to Depp’s associates, he found that the picture was more positive than Heard’s lawyers had hoped for.

Brad Furman, the director of 2018 crime thriller City of Lies, was among those who disputed some of the allegations that had been leveled against Depp over the years.

The Hollywood star was sued in an unrelated case for assault, by the film’s location manager Gregg Brooks in 2017.

The crew member claimed Depp had become violent with him on the set of the movie.

Brooks’s personal assistant Miguel Guittierrez backed him up and said Depp offered Brooks $100,000 to punch him in the face and then punched Brooks twice in the lower torso.

But Furman disagreed with this and told Barresi the fight didn’t get physical and Depp has ‘always been delightful’.

A set production assistants also said Depp was ‘lovely’ and a retired LAPD officer who was working on the film said the fight was ‘trivial’ in his view.

When Barresi suggested that Depp was violent, model and actress Carre Otis scoffed at the idea and said it was ‘ridiculous’, he writes in the book.

Former child star Olivia Barash, who worked at famed Hollywood nightclub, The Viper Room, which Depp owned in the 1990s, echoed those sentiments, claiming ‘Johnny doesn’t have a mean bone in his body’.

Richmond Arquette, of the Arquette acting clan, who worked at the Viper Room too, called Depp ‘a gentleman’s gentleman’.

Barresi widened his net and spoke with others who had known Depp for years.

They included the singer Chuck Weiss who said: ‘In my presence, Johnny has always demonstrated respect and adoration for women’.

Journalist Seven McDonald rebuffed Barresi’s efforts to dig up dirt on Depp, saying she never knew the actor to be threatening.

She said: ‘I don’t think I can help you. Johnny is a sweet man. I’ve never seen him be violent – in fact, just the opposite. Johnny Depp is the type who would crawl down a drainpipe to save a kitten from drowning’.

Perhaps the most forthright to defend Depp was tattoo artist Jonathan Shaw, a close friend of the actor.

He told Barresi: ‘Johnny is super controlled, and a superhuman being.

‘The only thing I would be willing to help that gold- digging w***e (Heard) do is help load the gun she wanted to use to blow her f****** brains out’.

Barresi does include some unflattering accounts of Depp.

Journalist Mark Ebner recounted how Depp threatened to ‘set (him) on fire’ during an encounter at the Viper Room which even Barresi says was a ‘chilling preclude’ to Depp’s now infamous text to his actor buddy Paul Bettany about burning Heard, a detail that came out at the trial in Virginia.

The ex-wife of Depp’s close buddy Isaac Baruch said that Baruch was a ‘manipulator’ and that he and Depp are ‘birds of a feather’.

But overall Barresi came away with admiration for Depp and said he felt a ‘deep empathy for his struggles and triumphs’.

His research allowed Barresi to understand the ‘complexities of his character’, he writes.

Barresi writes: ‘Through this journey, I aimed to honor our shared humanity, shedding light on the man behind the myths and offering a narrative grounded in genuine understanding and compassion.’

Johnny Depp Spotted in London in High Spirits

Johnny Depp appeared to be in bright spirits when he surfaced at the end of a night out in London – in a rare public sighting amid his comeback.

Depp, 60, spent years as a pariah in Hollywood amid his highly publicized legal battles with his ex-wife Amber Heard, 38.

They waged a blistering war of lawsuits against one another, accusing each other of abuse after their 15-month marriage disintegrated in 2016.

After his victory in a defamation case against Heard in 2022, Depp was met with a rapturous reception at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, where he premiered his French romantic drama Jeanne du Barry.

Now, as his return to Hollywood continues, Depp was spotted emerging from Cipriani in Mayfair after midnight, following a four-hour dinner with friends.

Johnny Depp Spotted in London in High Spirits

The Edward Scissorhands star exhibited his signature quirky style, teaming a pinstriped suit with a 1970s style top and a shell-beaded necklace.

Garnishing the look with a top hat and shades – despite the fact it was after dark – he had a book in hand and what appeared to be a cigarillo dangling from his mouth.

His latest public sighting comes after Terry Rossio, a longtime writer and producer on the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, stunningly remarked that Depp would be welcome back for a future instalment of the film series.

Depp was jettisoned from his lead role as Jack Sparrow amid the blizzard of controversy that resulted from Heard’s abuse allegations.

Now, however, Rossio has exclusively told DailyMail.com he ‘wouldn’t even hesitate’ to bring the ‘beloved’ Depp back into the fold for another Pirates movie.

‘Johnny Depp isn’t the issue. The issue is: is there a story worthy? Is the script good? Can it be directed well? Can the finances of it be worked out? Those are the issues. The issue has nothing to do with Johnny,’ said Rossio, 63.

A few weeks earlier an insider revealed Depp was ‘in really good spirits’ and ‘bears no animosity toward anybody’ as his comeback continues.

‘He’s focused on moving forward. He’s keeping busy. There’s a lot of good distractions, so there’s not that much time to be reminiscing on that darker period.’

The insider added: ‘There’s been a release of the old and embarking on this new chapter. He’s feeling better about where he is in life.’

He was ‘very excited’ for the US release of Jeanne du Barry, which served as ‘a good challenge’ for him as he ‘did the entire film in French,’ the source told People.

Depp was purportedly ‘taking advantage of being in this better headspace. There’s a lot of good energy, and he surrounds himself with a good group of people.’

Jeanne du Barry starred Depp as Louis XV in the story of the French king’s affair with his favorite mistress, the title character, played by the film’s director Maïwenn.

Although Depp earned a seven-minute standing ovation for the movie at Cannes, reducing him to tears, Jeanne Du Barry ultimately flopped at the box office.

Depp has lately been staying in London while editing his directorial feature Modi, a biopic of the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.

Al Pacino is one of the co-producers of the movie, which stars Italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio at the head of a cast that includes Miranda actress Sally Phillips.

Although Depp does not appear in Modi and is currently devoting his energies to directing, sources assured TMZ that he is not retiring from acting.

When he feels the moment is opportune, he is said to be open to the prospect of starring in a Hollywood movie again.

Heard had to pay him $1 million after losing the defamation case that he brought against her when she accused him of physical abuse.

Their lurid 2022 trial unfolded in the headlines, with Depp accusing Heard of having left feces in his bed as a bizarre prank on her 30th birthday.

After the trial ended, Heard sold her home in Yucca Valley, California for a reported $1.1 million and moved to Madrid with her daughter Oonagh, three.

Heard turned 38 in Spain in April, cheerfully declaring on Instagram that she was indulging in a ‘Champagne kind of birthday.’

Meanwhile, sources recently informed DailyMail.com that Depp has undergone a radical transformation, losing weight and shrugging off his previous grungy look as he embraces ‘a cleaner lifestyle than at times in the past.’

Johnny Depp’s Return to Pirates of the Caribbean Welcomed by Producer

Johnny Depp has been ‘un-canceled’ – at least as far as a Pirates of the Caribbean reboot is concerned.

Screenwriter and producer of the swashbuckling franchise Terry Rossio tells DailyMail.com that now that Depp has cleaned up his act he would be welcomed back with open arms.

In an exclusive interview, Rossio said he ‘wouldn’t even hesitate’ to have Depp back on set, despite the allegations of abuse and alcoholism against the actor.

Rossio, 63, said casting the controversial Hollywood star is ‘not the problem’ for a sequel – it is finding the right script, co-stars and finances to revive the Disney-owned franchise, which has grossed over $4.5 billion worldwide.

Speaking exclusively on camera at the premiere of his new film Protocol 7, Rossio said of Depp: ‘Johnny is beloved. I wouldn’t even hesitate on Johnny Depp.’

‘Johnny Depp isn’t the issue. The issue is: is there a story worthy? Is the script good? Can it be directed well? Can the finances of it be worked out? Those are the issues. The issue has nothing to do with Johnny.’

Rossio, who was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Shrek, added that Disney should not just look at Depp returning, but attempt to bring back the main cast from the original Oscar-nominated debut Pirates movie Dead Man’s Chest.

Asked how far Disney bosses have gotten in their revival plans, Rossio pleaded ignorance, saying: ‘Oh my gosh, I don’t have any inside information. I’m sorry, I can’t say.’

But he then noted that other factors are likely to be holding up the reboot, and that sometimes it can take over a decade even for desired movies to be made.

‘The Indiana Jones movie, for example, was like this,’ he said. ‘Everybody wanted it, but it took what, 15, 16 years for it to come about.

‘There are a lot of forces that come into play in terms of… schedule, availability, finances, creative control, the disposition of the studio, the planets have to align on any movie. It’s a miracle that anything ever gets done.’

Last year franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer spoke of his hope to have Depp back as Sparrow, but never confirmed Disney were on board.

Rossio’s comments will delight fans given many had petitioned for him to come back after winning his libel trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The actor famously told the trial under questioning from his own lawyer, that Disney dropped him from the sixth film after Heard accused him of being a wife beater.

But a Virginia jury found that Depp proved elements of defamation for Heard’s statements in her 2018 Washing Post op-ed. They decided Heard’s statements were false, and that she defamed Depp with actual malice.

The Jack Sparrow actor enjoyed a five minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival for his 2023 film, Jeanne du Barry, in which he stars as the former King of France Louis XV.

Rossio believes that with Depp’s career back on the rise Disney should reunite with Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley in this comeback.

‘Clearly the best pirate film in my mind, my controversial opinion, would be to bring back everybody. I would bring back Johnny. I would bring back Gore Verbinski,’ the screenwriter said.

‘I would bring back Jeffrey Rush. I would bring back Orlando (Bloom), (Kevin) McNeely and Keira (Knightley),’ he said. ‘That’s the best pirate film. Why not? We had a blast the first time. Let’s do it again. That’s what I would do if it were me, why not? And that’s what the fans want.’

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl saw Depp nominated for an Academy Award Best Actor gong and earned over $650 million at the box office.

Rossio feels that Warner Brothers will have a hit should they move forward with the proposed idea of a Pirates flick starring Oscar nominee Margot Robbie.

‘There’s a talent level. There’s a reason they call them stars. She is a star because she has ascended up into the heavens in terms of Hollywood royalty,’ he said.

‘So whatever she does, it’s going to be amazing because that level of talent is going to always come out. So to get her in a pirate movie, it would absolutely be great. There’s no question of it.’

Rossio also wants to see spin-offs in the Pirates universe using the original movie’s female characters – similar to what Disney did with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

‘Again, it’s just my opinion, but I wouldn’t call it a female version of Pirates. I would call it an expansion and an exploration of the Pirate’s universe. You can’t go up and try to replace what’s been done,’ he said.

‘That would be absolutely great. There could be a Hector Barbosa, Jeffrey Rush movie,’ he added, referencing the first film’s antagonist cursed pirate captain.

‘I don’t know why you wouldn’t. You have to be fiscally responsible. Maybe the budgets are a little bit smaller, but why not do an expansion of the universe back to where the budget was for the first one, and I’m sure it would be successful. ‘

Rossio wrote the script for Protocol 7 for disgraced UK anti-vaxxer doctor Andrew Wakefield, who has become a filmmaker after his medical license was revoked.

The film tells the story of Alexis, a small-town lawyer, who is confronted with the reality of corporate fraud at the highest level.

The film has prompted outrage over unproven claims that the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine causes serious long-term health issues.

Rossio noted of working with Wakefield: ‘Well, I just look at it as what does the science say? What does the research say, what is the clarity that comes from examining the topic? And if you’re on point to the reality of what’s going on, then how can you go wrong?’

He said that director John Waters’ 1990 film Cry-Baby, ‘was the first solid step in the direction I wanted to go,’ admitting he was even trying to get fired from 21 Jump Street.

When he got a hold of Burton and Caroline Thompson’s script for Edward Scissorhands, Depp insisted it, ‘passed through everything, anything, solid and went to the very core of whatever I am.’

‘The writing was beautiful. The character was beautiful. What I suppose [attracted] me emotionally was that Edward was me. It’s exactly what I should be doing,’ he said.

Depp said his agent had set up a meeting with Burton, though he then heard about the A-list talent in contention – Hanks, Jackson and Cruise.

Depp admitted thinking, ‘He’s never going to cast me when everyone in Hollywood is after the part,’ and told his agent to cancel the meeting, to which she replied, ‘Are you f***ing nuts?’

‘It was weird because there’s always that bastard in your skull that goes “Come on, man. You’re a TV actor guy.” Because at that time it was almost either-or,’ Depp said.

He ultimately met with Burton and was cast, the first in a long line of movies they would make together including 1994’s Ed Wood, 1999’s Sleepy Hollow, 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and 2007’s Sweeney Todd.

Writer Thompson also said in a 2020 Insider interview that Jackson, ‘pursued’ the project by Burton didn’t pursue him.

Johnny Depp slashes price of South of France home by £10M

Johnny Depp has once again reduced the price of his sprawling estate in the south of France, nearly a decade after he first put it on the market.

The actor, 60, has been trying to sell the picturesque home since 2015, and had previously hiked up the price to £43.4 million to fund his costly divorce from Amber Heard.

Now, after dropping the price of the property to £23 million, Johnny is thought to have reduced the price of his home once again, by £10 million to £13 million.

In 2015, Depp was said to be ‘closing the chapter’ on his life with former partner Vanessa Paradis after he put the former couple’s sprawling estate on the market for $15.5million.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star’s decision to sell the home he spent 14 years and millions of pounds to restore, came just four months after Depp married Amber.

The sprawling 37-acre property was marketed as fully furnished, with DVDs still filling the bookshelves.

Alexander Kraft, chairman and chief executive of Sotheby’s International Realty France, who was selling the sprawling property, revealed: ‘Johnny had decided to sell the Plan de la Tour property to close this chapter of his life and move on.

‘He hopes that someone else will enjoy the property as much as he did and bring him or her the same happiness it brought.’

The exclusive hamlet, near the village of Plan-de-la-Tour, was bought in its entirety in 2001 by Johnny after he fell in love with both Paradis and France.

The thespian spent most of his time at the villa near St Tropez with French singer-actress Vanessa where he was said to love the quiet life of growing vegetables, shopping in the nearby town and playing with the couple’s children, Lily-Rose Melody and Jack.

He bought it as a wreck, but spent millions updating the mainly early 19th century buildings, built from the region’s traditional honey stone.

‘It was in a pretty rough state,’ said Kraft.

Following a renovation, stylish wooden beams, terracotta roofs and tiling complete the look that is centered around the village square in the classic French manner.

A church was converted into a guest-house with a once dark, secret confessional booth turned into a wardrobe.

There is also a restaurant, but no cash has ever been taken here for service. Instead, according to Mr Kraft, ‘Mr Depp uses it as a dining room’.

Other buildings in the square include a laundry and a garage – although more guest and playrooms hide behind their everyday exterior.

If all that isn’t enough, the 4,300 sq foot main home boasts five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and an art studio where the actor indulged in another of his passions – painting.

And if prospective buyers still require rooms for summer guests there are several cottages plus a bizarre covered wagon outfitted with a bathroom and kitchen.

Known for enjoying his down time between his money-spinning films, it is understood Depp did much of the interior design himself.

Which meant he was even able to squeeze in a tribute to the hugely successful ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise – in which he stars as Captain Jack Sparrow.

His wine cave, the estate agent’s pictures reveal, is decorated in the films’ motif, with skulls and brightly coloured scarves.

If that doesn’t impress enough, there are two swimming pools, a gym and a skate park with a half pipe that Depp had built for Jack and Lily-Rose.

In 2016, the French village was still on the market and Depp ramped the asking price up to $55.5million in a bid to help with the costs of his divorce.

From a £12.1 million French VILLAGE to a £8.4 million Venetian mansion: Inside Johnny Depp’s VERY impressive property portfolio

Johnny Depp has had a colorful love life, but his property portfolio has been equally as varied.

Over the years, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star has amassed an impressive array of homes around the world, with an island in the Caribbean, a French estate and a sprawling plot in Somerset (where he is currently seeking some solitude) among his haul.

However, due to his tumultuous and very costly divorce from actress Amber Heard – which was finalized in January 2017 – Depp was forced to get rid of some of his prized assets.

Here DailyMail.com rounds up some of the stunning properties which caught Depp’s attention – worth collectively more than £78 million – with some still in his possession and others long gone to the highest bidder.

The island has six beaches (named after Depp’s children and former partner Vanessa Paradis), a palm tree-lined lagoon and solar-powered houses.

‘I don’t think I’d ever seen any place so pure and beautiful,’ he told Vanity Fair in 2009.

‘You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It’s instant freedom.’

In 2015, Depp used the island to celebrate his nuptials with actress Heard.

According to reports, the pair spent the weekend on the sandy outcrop where they held an extravagant celebration following their intimate wedding ceremony in Los Angeles.

Summing up the scene, one guest said at the time: ‘Amber did her own hair and make-up and Johnny was as laid-back as usual. But there has been a genuine glow about them… when they officially became man and wife…

‘They wanted to do it all again on the beach and… (celebrate) with friends because they love the island and want it to be a continuing part of their lives together.’

Accommodation on the idyllic tropical isle is limited so some of the wedding guests stayed on Depp’s luxury yacht, Vajoliroja.

The island is currently listed on Vladi Private Islands, which lists islands for sale, but there is no price noted.

The listing reveals that there are ‘proposals in place to construct a heli-pad and a sea-plane ramp, enough space to construct a private airstrip and even a natural deep water access channel with ample room for even larger vessels.

In 2016, Depp continued to jettison his assets, listing his four-story Venetian mansion for £8.4 million, according to Italian newspaper Affari Italiani.

The historic 17th century home, which overlooks Venice’s Grand Canal, boasts seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

The actor was set to make a loss on the sale of the Palazzo Dona Sangiantoffetti, having paid more than £10.1 million for it in January 2011.

Depp fell in love with the city after spending several months there filming The Tourist alongside Angelina Jolie the year before.

Reports at the time claim he even outmatched an unnamed Arabian Prince in a bidding war for the property.

The Palazzo was one of the only available buildings overlooking the city’s main aquatic thoroughfare and is situated in the Santa Croce area of Venice, not far from the Santa Maria Mater Domini Church.

Speaking of his love for the city at the time, the Hollywood star remarked: ‘My experience of Venice really happened between 10pm and 2am when the streets closed and I was able to walk around and experience the poetry of Venice, the ghosts of Venice, all those wonderful dark alleys.

‘For an actor being able to film within the confines of that magical city certainly helps… The city’s magic shone through completely.’

2017: Five Los Angeles penthouses, sold for £8.5M

The Murder On The Orient Express star sold the final unit of his five Los Angeles penthouses in November 2017 for £1.11 million

The Murder On The Orient Express star sold the final unit of his five Los Angeles penthouses in November 2017 for £1.11 million

The Murder On The Orient Express star sold the final unit of his five Los Angeles penthouses in November 2017 for £1.11 million, having originally listed all five as one listing of £10 million.

In the end, the five units – which total a combined 11,500 square feet of space – were each sold separately, bringing in £8.5 million, around £1.56 million under the collective asking price.

The sale came as Depp – who was reportedly still suffering fiscally from his divorce from Heard – was said to be facing selling five of his other LA properties in order to pay back the business managers that saved him from financial ruin.

Originally, the final penthouse had instead been listed as a rental property, advertised at £4,300 per month.

The apartment featured a loft-style floor plan with exposed brickwork and has stunning views of LA, with a whimsical mural by Brazilian street artist Osgemeos running from floor to ceiling, filling the entire wall of the 1,780 square feet of living area.

A galley-style kitchen sits opposite the mural and is equipped with stainless-steel appliances; and a steel-framed staircase leads up to a landing with a lounge/den. Another stairway heads up to the penthouse’s one master bedroom suite.

The expensive properties can be found in the Eastern Columbia Building in the downtown area of the city and feature many intricate design accents that seem to mirror the style of the famously quirky actor.

The five multi-level penthouses sit at the height of the building which is a 1930s Art Deco tower converted to plush condos by hotelier Brad Korzen.

Depp reportedly used the units as his private living space, but kept two of them for an art studio and a guest apartment.

Depp’s third apartment was listed earlier in 2017 for an eye-watering £1.88 million – but the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor sold the fourth for £1.4million – suggesting that particular unit did not meet its asking price.

That condo has three-bedrooms and two-bathrooms and features high ceilings and extra large windows looking out across LA and the mountains that surround the Californian city.

Inside, the stylish kitchen is bedecked in chrome and a feature staircase, in metallic red, spirals to another floor where there is a master bedroom decorated in industrial brickwork.

The Sleepy Hollow star sold two of the properties in October and November last year, netting £2 million and £2.4 million for the homes respectively.

The actor began selling his properties in the wake of his split from Amber, with the five penthouses at the helm of the sales.

2017: Tipped to sell five Los Angeles homes worth £15 million to pay back £3.9 million loan to ex-business managers

In November 2017 it was rumoured that Depp was set to lose five of his homes as his former business managers attempted to claw back a massive loan.

The Management Group filed to force a sale of Depp’s properties – all of which are in Los Angeles – in order to cover the £3.9 million loan TMG says it gave the actor in December 2012.

‘Depp paid interest and some principal payments under the TMG/Depp Note until he terminated TMG as his business manager on March 14, 2016,’ the Los Angeles state court filing, obtained by Deadline Hollywood, read.

It continues: ‘After that date, Depp and his new business manager, (Edward) White, have refused to pay any interest or principal on the loan…

‘However, in Depp’s self-centered world, ‘no good deed goes unpunished’.’

TMG claimed that Depp still owed £3.4 million on the loan, including fees and interest.

Depp had five homes in the Hollywood Hills worth a collective £15million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

    In 1995, Depp purchased a 1920s-era eight-bedroom castle-like home in West Hollywood on a four-acre eucalyptus grove.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star also has four neighboring houses as well as a recording studio that was built next to the castle-like mansion.

Depp’s feud with TMG began in January 2017, when he sued the company for £19.5 million, claiming it mismanaged his earnings during a lucrative period of his career, made unauthorized loans and overpaid for security and other services.

The suit also asked for a temporary restraining order and permanent injunction enjoining the company from proceeding with the foreclosure on Depp’s homes.

In a countersuit, TMG sought more £438,000 in unpaid commissions and credit card fees and to halt Depp’s suit.

According to the countersuit, the Murder on the Orient Express actor allegedly spent £59 million on 14 homes world-wide and £23,000 per month on wine.Additionally, Depp allegedly once paid $3million to ‘blast from a specially made cannon the ashes of author Hunter S. Thompson over Aspen, Colorado’.

2020: A beautiful 41-acre Kentucky horse farm with six bedrooms, two barns and a pool slashed to £1M

Johnny Depp has sold his beautiful 41-acre Kentucky horse farm the slashed price of $1.3M, which he first listed at $3.4 million

Johnny Depp has sold his beautiful 41-acre Kentucky horse farm the slashed price of $1.3M, which he first listed at $3.4 million

In March 2020, Depp’s ranch-style home was finally snapped up at nearly half its cash value.

The 41-acre estate, first listed for almost £2.7 million, was shown as sold at a price of £1.055 million, despite the Lexington Herald-Leader reporting its worth at $2.33 million.

The Kentucky native initially purchased the farm in 1995 for £743,000, sold it in 2001 for $1 million and repurchased the property in 2005 for £1.8 million.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, who was born in Owensboro, reportedly repurchased the property in 2005 for his beloved mother Sue Palmer, who occupied the residence before passing away in 2016.

In 2019, Depp settled a blockbuster legal battle with his former business managers amid allegations about his spending and that he was the victim of gross misconduct.

The house, nicknamed Betty Sue’s Family Farm in honor of his late mom, was put on an auction in 2017, however Depp’s business manager refused to accept the top bid of just £1.1 million.

Despite struggling to sell for years, the property was quite spectacular, boasting a 6,000-square-foot house with seven bedrooms, a four-car garage, a guesthouse and three barns.

The small horse operation had two barns, 15 stalls, four automatic waterers, paddocks, a separate guesthouse, gourmet kitchen and a managers quarter.

Added bonuses of the property included, a sunroom and a pool, as well as a large four-car garage.

Sticking close to his roots, the interiors of the property had a homely, old school feel with small and cosy bedrooms.

The Gold Coast mansion where Depp lost the tip of his finger sold for £31million in October 2022 – the highest amount ever paid for a Queensland home.

The luxury home, formerly owned by 500cc motorcycle world champion Mick Doohan, went under the hammer on September 28 2022 and sold for the asking price.

The sprawling property, known as Diamond Head, boasts 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, and sits on 18 hectares.

Previously rented by Brad Pitt, it comes with a helipad, a 2000-bottle wine cellar and a cinema.

The private jetty provides access to the Coomera and Pimpama rivers and there is even a landing strip for private planes.

Amir Prestige Real Estate handled the sale after it first went to market in March 2021 for expression-of-interest.

Mick, 57, bought the property for £1.3million in 1996 and renovated it several times over the years.

In 2015, Depp had the tip of his finger severed during an argument he had with Heard, his partner at the time.

He said he believed the digit had fallen into the bin but it was instead located beside the bar.

Mick, a five-time Moto GP world champion from 1994 to 1998, retired in 1999 to dive into the world of real estate.

The motorcyclist bought more than £9.3million worth of properties in Queensland.

His Gold Coast home on ‘Millionaires Row’ was the foundation of his portfolio which also featured a separate guesthouse and a go-kart track.

2022: Depp and Heard’s one-time Los Angeles penthouse hits market for £1.38M

A downtown Los Angeles penthouse formerly lived in by Depp and Heard went up for sale for £1.38 million in June 2022

A downtown Los Angeles penthouse formerly lived in by Depp and Heard went up for sale for £1.38 million in June 2022.

The one-bedroom, two-bathroom, which spans 1,780 sq. feet, is located in the Eastern Columbia Building, where Depp once owned five properties, which he sold for a sum of £10 million in the wake of his 2016 parting with Heard.

When he and Heard resided there, the properties were interconnected with one another, but have since been modified into different dwellings.

The property was previously sold for in 2017 for £1.1 million, and was listed as a rental for £4,300 monthly, the outlet reported, citing public records.

The property is listed by Douglas Elliman agents Rick Tyberg and Ernie Carswell, who told the outlet that the listing was ‘just coincidental timing’ coming a week after the conclusion of the defamation trial between the one-time Hollywood pair.

‘It’s definitely not a typical Los Angeles residence at all, which makes it so special,’ Carswell said.

While it was not immediately clear if the property was the location of incidents mentioned in the trial, the agent added that the former couple ‘spent a good amount of their time’ in the ‘very large bedroom with views looking east.

The unit has ‘incredible volume and height, and you step out to the building’s rooftop swimming pool, which is about as dramatic as it gets in Los Angeles,’ Carswell said.

The famed building includes amenities such as a gymnasium, 24-hour concierge service, spa and rooftop pool, the latter of which was a favorite of the former pair, according to Carswell.

‘Very few people in the building used the pool, but I know [Depp] and Amber enjoyed it,’ Carswell told the publication.

The building is under the Mills Act and historically protected, which comes with tax incentives to property owners, according to the outlet.

Depp recently revealed he prefers a quiet life in Somerset, where he resides on an 850-acre estate, complete with a 19th-century mansion.

Known as one of Hollywood’s biggest hell-raisers, the actor insisted he isn’t ‘the great extrovert that people think’ in a surprise interview with Somerset Life.

In 2014, he splashed around £12.3 million on a Downton Abbey-style estate in the West Country, which boasts 12 bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 850 acres.

The stunning abode, which looks like it has been taken straight out of a Jane Austen novel, also features sprawling walled gardens.

Depp told the magazine: ‘I just love places with character. British people are cool and will greet you as if you are a neighbor – without going over the top. I like going to places, seeing things and meeting people – but I’m not the great extrovert that people think.’

He added: ‘In truth, I’m quite a shy person. That’s one of the great things about Britain, and especially Somerset. I can just be me — and that’s nice.

‘I can go into shops without being surrounded by people wanting selfies. I don’t mind that up to a point, but sometimes it gets a little too crowded.’

At the time of his purchase, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star was newly engaged to his now ex-wife Heard, who he married in 2015 before their 2017 divorce.

Modi was directed by Johnny and produced by Al Pacino. Johnny and Stephen star alongside Sally Phillips and Al, 84, himself.

The screenplay is by Jerzy and Mary Kromolowski and is based on the play Modigliani by Dennis McIntyre.

The Italian artist’s life story, previously told by film with Modigliani (2004), is Johnny’s second directorial effort, following the 1997 film The Brave.

After filming wrapped, Johnny told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Embarking on this cinematic journey as the director of Modi has been an incredibly fulfilling and transformative experience.

‘I would like to express my profound gratitude to the entire cast, crew, and producers for their unwavering commitment and creativity.

‘To Al, who requested that I make this film—how could I refuse Pacino?
