Johanna Griggs has called out misogynistic behaviour she allegedly experienced during the early days of her career at Channel Seven.
The Better Homes and Garden host, 50, spoke on the Empowering Leaders Podcast on Wednesday to detail the run-in she once had with a male boss many years ago.
She said the executive, who no longer works at the network, asked Joh to slip into a bikini and slap a female co-worker’s backside for a promo.
‘We had a promo going many bosses back at Seven. They wanted all of their network talent in bikinis running along the beach slapping each other on the bum,’ she said.
‘Baywatch style?’ host Luke Darcy said, to which Joh responded: ‘Yep.’

The former competitive swimmer said she refused to do the promo but was met with confusion from the boss, who was shocked she took issue with the idea.
Joh alleged he brought up her prior stint ‘modelling for Inside Sport’ and said she’s worn plenty of bikinis in her time.
‘[I told them], “I did when I was an athlete, 100%,”‘ the mother-of-two added.

‘I said, “Put it this way, I’ll do it when you have Bruce McAvaney in a pair of sluggos running along the beach hitting a couple of guys on the a*s,”‘ she continued.
‘And that was the end of the conversation.’
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Seven for comment.

Joh has a longstanding career at the network since joining Seven Sport in 1993 as a host at the Australian Open.
Producers poached her right out of the pool after she struggled to keep her swimming career on track following a chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosis.
The veteran presenter and former athlete now also hosts the network’s Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games in addition to the Melbourne Cup.
Joh also hosted the renovation show House Rules from 2013 to 2019, and began hosting Better Homes and Gardens in 2005.
