Jodie Foster was among the sea of celebrities to make their way to Barker Hanger for the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards in the Santa Monica neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday.
Many of the biggest stars in show business are on hand for the ceremony that honors the finest achievements of filmmaking and television programming of 2023.
For this latest show of awards season, the former child star came into the evening nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the biographical-sports drama Nyad.
But, like the recent Golden Globes just days ago, Da’Vine Joy Randolph ended up taking home the trophy for her performance in The Holdovers.
Along with Foster and Randolph, the other nominees in the category included Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer), Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), America Ferrera (Barbie) and Julianne Moore (May December).

Before making their way into the venue for the ceremony, Foster showed off her infectious smile and fashion sense by strutting her stuff along the red carpet in a business chic black suit with white polka dots.
Foster, 61, wore the stylish suit with a plunging black shirt and matching pumps that gave her an small boost to her 5ft 3in figure.
She opted to accessorize with several rings and a thick silver nacklae that stood out among her all-black outfit.
Rounding out her overall ensemble, the Taxi Driver star had her shoulder length blonde locks pushed back off her face and over her ears with a center part.
For much of her time in the spotlight of the red carpet, Foster appeared to be in a grand mood., from the looks of the big broad smile she had during her time posing for photographers.
In fact, there were a couple of occasions when she burst out into laughter, while she struck various poses.
Nyad made its world premiere at the 50th Telluride Film Festival on September 1, 2023.
Directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, who worked from a screenplay by Julia Cox, Nyad is a biography about about swimmer Dianne Nyad’s attempt to swim the Straits of Florida in 2013.

Both Foster and her Nyad co-star Annette Bening have been recognized for their roles
Her co-star, Annette Bening, received a nomination for Best Actress In A Motion Picture – Drama at the recent Golden Globe Awards, but that award ultimately went to Gladstone.
Bening and Foster have also been both nominated for Nyad for Outstanding Leading Actress and Outstanding Supporting Actress, respectively for the upcoming 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards on February 24.
Along with Bening and Foster, the cast also includes Rhys Ifans, Karly Rothenberg, Jeena Yi, Luke Cosgrove, Eric T. Miller and Garland Scott.
