Joanna Gaines threw her son, Crew, a ‘fossil dig and kite’ party to celebrate his sixth birthday and shared special moments from the bash to her Instagram on Saturday.
The HGTV star, 46 – who recently celebrated her 21st wedding anniversary to husband Chip – uploaded a video montage to her main page which was captioned as: ‘SIX years old! He asked for a “Dino fossil dig and kite” party.’
She shares Crew, as well as Drake, 19, Ella, 17, Duke, 16 and Emmie, 14, with Chip – whom she tied the knot with in 2003.
Towards the beginning of the reel, she gave her nearly 14 million followers a glimpse of the decorations and presents on top of a long, wooden table.
Various green and white balloons could be seen lining the wall while a toy dinosaur with a mini party hat was placed towards the center.

Joanna also filmed the sweet moment when Crew walked into the room to see all of his gifts and the party decorations.
He excitedly walked towards the table to get a closer look at the presents as well as a large kite that hung above.
The clip then cut to a set up outdoors which included small, individual ‘dig kits’ for her son and his friends to help them look for fossils.
The group ran towards an area in what appeared to be a backyard and they were soon given hats before digging for fossils in their own boxes filled with sand.
Each guest also had another wooden box to help keep their fossils safe, as well as a brush to clean off the sand upon finding their treasures.
Another portion of the reel showed Joanna as she placed a large, toy dinosaur on top of a sugary cake that was also holding a kite.
The yummy dessert was topped with a white frosting as well as a brown coating to appear as sand to fit the theme of the party.
In the montage, a snap humorously captured the moment that Crew bit into the cake before a piece was cut.

Afterwards, the birthday boy and his pals were each given a kite and tested the items out on an open, grassy area.

The birthday festivities took place shortly after Joanna and her husband, Chip, rung in their 21st wedding anniversary earlier this month.
She took to her main Instagram page to pen a loving tribute to Chip along with a few snaps of them posing together.
‘Twenty One Years. You’ve always had a way of taking a thought or a quiet dream I’ve tucked away, and helped me step into it and make it a reality.’
The star added, ‘What a journey, a wild and crazy (yet somehow peaceful) ride. So grateful to God for this life we get to share together.’
She uploaded a photo of the pair taking a snap in New York City in 2024 along with a throwback snap that was also taken in the Big Apple in 2003.
Social media users jumped to the comment section to send their congratulations over the milestone, while others marveled at how the couple ‘haven’t aged a day.’

During a recent appearance on Today, Joanna and Chip revealed the social media rule that their children follow.
‘Our house rule is you get social media the summer before you go to college. So we have that time, so 18. We have that time to kind of work through that,’ the mother-of-five said.
Chip then added, ‘But it’s a challenge! I mean, you can tell these kids want it before that.’
‘It’s not like it’s this agreed place to where we’ve all decided at roughly 18 and they’re like, “Oh thank goodness. I didn’t want it to begin with.” They want it at 12, 13, 14.’

Joanna revealed, ‘They’ve kind of been quiet about it. Like I’d say, I haven’t said anything to them but I’d say for the last year, no one’s asked for it.’
‘I think they just know the heart behind it, which is hard, I think because all their other friends have it. But I’m like, you have some other things.’
She added, ‘I think for us, it’s kind of one of those things where we can say, “You have these other things that are really great. Our life is a little different and we care about this specific thing.”
‘Especially for my girls, as they’re 14 and almost 17. Just that’s the age where a lot of things mentally, you’re influenced by…’
