Since filming their new raunchy workplace  comedy, Office Romance, last year, rumours have surfaced that was getting cosy with her co-star Brett Goldstein.

From their Broadway date night in , to reports of them 'canoodling' at the film's wrap party, it appeared that the co-stars had successfully taken their sizzling on-screen chemistry into the real world.

However, despite the pair seemingly leaning into the fanfare, cold water has now been poured on the reports, with a body language expert telling Daily Mail that it appears to be less of an Office Romance, and more of an Office Showmance.

On Tuesday, Jennifer, 56, and Brett, 45, attended the premiere of their new Netflix film at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood where they delivered another flirty display, cosying up close on the red carpet.

Yet expert wasn't convinced by their interactions, saying: 'The words "film to plug" appear to hang heavily in the air over this duo's body language rituals here.

'This is a sizzle-free zone overall, although there are, of course, posing moments that provide enough tempting titbits to start the inevitable rumours and speculation.'

Jennifer Lopez and Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein's 'lack of sexual bonding' and 'sizzle-free' chemistry has been exposed by a body language expert

While at the premiere, the pair also answered questions about their onscreen kiss.

Jennifer previously raved that the actor was 'the best kisser' she's ever worked with, and he returned the favour at the premiere, telling ET that her kiss was 'the best'.

The four-time divorcee giggled before she heard Brett's answer, while pointing out, 'Well, what is he going to say in front of me.'

Brett also said that when he heard how highly she rated him, it felt 'better than winning an ', though the singer joked that she was put 'on the spot' during the interview.

Dissecting the footage, Judi said: 'The kissing interview shows J Lo go into excited teen mode, keeping her eyes on the journalist rather than Brett and squealing loudly with her hands clutched in front of her torso in an expression of coyness.

'She squeals again, fiddles with her ring and performs preening gestures with her hair to suggest she's enjoying the narrative here.

'But when the journalist asks Brett how he would rate her kissing technique J-Lo's body language mood changes, and she adopts a more dominant role, standing with her hands on her hips and chin raised, only reverting to the teenage squealing and giggling as Brett gives the perfect political answer.

'They emerge onto the red carpet posed like a bride and groom with his arm crooked and her hand hooked into it, but there are a few underlying cues or tells that suggest a lack of any more romantic or sexual bonding here:

'They step apart as soon as they start to pose with no signs of any separational lingering, although he does extend one hand to her back as she shakes out her dress.'

Judi continued: 'When they pose together, he has one rigid-looking arm around her waist, and there is no apparent subliminal mirroring.

'She waves to fans while his pose is more rigid.

'J-Lo turns her face to gaze at Brett's face for a perfect 'moment', gazing at him with an expression of adoration and a matching smile as he looks her in the eyes.

'But their torsos are held apart here, and J-Lo uses what is often seen as a 'blocking' signal, placing her hand on his lower chest to appear to emphasise and retain that spatial distance here.'

Brett is thought to have been single since 2022, when he split from girlfriend Beth Rylance after a year.

Meanwhile, Jennifer had split from her ex-husband  in January 2025.

Following speculation over their relationship status, body language expert Judi James has shed some light on their playful behaviour

In Office Romance, Brett and J Lo star as two workaholics who strike up a secret office romance that threatens to derail their life and careers.

Yet after filming concluded, there were whispers about their 'electric' chemistry offscreen.

'It was an open secret during filming about Brett and J-Lo – they got on like a house on fire from the start, and the chemistry was electric, which viewers will see,' a source told The Sun earlier this year.

'They were very touchy, feely, and always laughing, and everyone suspected they were hooking up.'

Another insider said, 'During the wrap party, they were all over each other during the dinner and drinks with the rest of the cast.'

'They had a lot of fun while shooting; it was just what Jen needed after Ben Affleck. He put a smile on her face.'

'There were quite a few jokes about Brett just being the British version of Ben. She was definitely a fan of his British charm and really felt looked after on set.'

In September 2024, the duo were spotted at the Broadway show Oh, Mary! together, watching their co-star Betty Gilpin perform.

In Office Romance, Jennifer plays a CEO named Jackie Cruz, who falls for a new employee named Daniel Blanchflower, played by Brett.

She told People that Jackie is a 'workaholic, incredibly controlled and not looking for distractions.'

The Bronx native added: 'Perhaps elements helped, but in real life Jackie as a CEO and myself as a CEO are incredibly different. Although I work incredibly hard I understand the balance of work/life and prioritizing family and friends.'

The star also noted that the film is 'a classic romance, with modern edgier humor' so she said yes right away. 'I was booked back to back with other projects, but I knew I had to do this movie, so we made it work,' the actress shared. 'I think it's exactly what we all need right now.'

She also raved about her co-star.

The siren said Brett 'brought an amazing calming and self assured energy' to his performance.

'There's something very grounded and natural about him,' she said.

'He wasn't trying to play the romance or the comedy because he is hilariously funny in real life and incredibly charming and appealing, it all just felt so natural.'

In Office Romance, which hits Netflix on June 5, Jennifer portrays a workaholic CEO who falls for a new employee, played by Brett

Brett told the site that he and co-writer Joe Kelly created the script for Office Romance specifically for Jennifer.

'We started asking ourselves who the best rom-com star is, and without hesitation, we both said JLo,' said the star who has in the past raved about the icon.

'And within the space of a long train journey, we had the whole idea for the film. It's easy to write a rom-com when you have JLo in mind. She's the best at this stuff. We just wanted to write something funny and smart enough to be worthy of her saying yes.'

Director Ol Parker also told People that the film is over the top: 'It pushes the envelope slightly for what people might expect from a Jennifer Lopez movie. She was delighted to do that and very funny doing it.'
