Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are trying to do everything they can to make their divorce as easy as possible for their kids.
The estranged couple enjoyed a ‘fun lunch’ with their children at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge on Saturday, according to a source who spoke to People.
‘They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out,’ the insider told the outlet, explaining that Lopez, 55, is ‘trying to be friendly with Ben,’ 52.
Lopez’s twins, Emme and Max, 16, whom she shares with ex Marc Anthony, were there with Affleck’s youngest kids, Fin, 15 and Sam, 12, whom she shares with former wife Jennifer Garner. His oldest, Violent 18, was not there as she is attending Yale University.
The insider seemed to credit Lopez with trying to keep the transition smooth.

The pair, who married in July 2022 in Las Vegas and had a more formal ceremony at Affleck’s home in Georgia a month later, tied the knot with no pre-nuptial agreement.
According to her divorce filing Lopez who filed the papers herself, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split.
Lopez, who changed her last name to Affleck after the marriage, wants her last name, Lopez, legally restored.
She has asked that there be no spousal support and that each pay for their own attorneys fees.
‘They are still moving forward with the divorce though. They are working out financial details amicably.’
Among those details is the disposal of their Beverly Hills mansion, which has been listed for $68 million. The pair bought it in June 2023, for slightly less than $61 million.
The Oscar winner has moved into his own home in Pacific Palisades, which he bought for $20.5 million in July.

The hitmaker is still house hunting for a place of her own in the Los Angeles area.
She has, reportedly, been looking at an estate in the Holmby Hills area that was formerly owned by designer Max Azria, according to TMZ.
The mansion is in the same neighborhood as the house owned by her ex-boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 54, which was recently raided earlier this year by Homeland Security agents after several lawsuits were filed against the music mogul alleging sexual assault, abuse and trafficking.
It’s doubtful there would be any embarrassing interactions between the former couple. Combs has listed his house for sale with an asking price of $61 million.
