The Real Housewives Of New York City alumna Jill Zarin has announced that she had plastic surgery after watching herself on her new show.
Jill, 60, has just appeared on Amazon Prime’s new reality competition series The Goat, which debuted its first season on May 9.
When she caught sight of herself onscreen, she ‘decided I needed a lower face lift’ and has now procured one, she announced on Instagram this week.
‘I also hated my hands and [her plastic surgeon] added fat from my legs. They look amazing !’ she said, adding: ‘I will continue to share updates.’
Her message was accompanied by a video of herself recuperating from her surgery at what she described as a ‘drop dead’ Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New York.

‘Hey, guys, I’ve been a little bit of MIA, although I’m trying to post here and there, and I am bravely sharing that I had a lower facelift and a couple of other minor tweaks by Dr. Ira Savetsky in New York City,’ she said in the video.
‘And I live my life openly and freely – that’s why I did a reality show – and I think it’s important for people who do reality shows to be honest,’ Jill opined.
‘I have no filter on. I’m in a hotel. I’m at the Ritz-Carlton. It’s drop dead. If you’re gonna recover, recover in a nice hotel,’ she vamped.
‘And I have the most incredible doctor, who has visited me one or two times a day, including the first night of surgery, which is like unheard of, just to make sure I’m okay,’ added Jill, who now lives in Boca Raton.
In her written message, she reminded her more than 650,000 followers: ‘Every surgeon has different techniques, medications and bedside manner. All of them are critical to ask about to have a successful outcome.’
Jill first rose into stardom as one of the original Real Housewives Of New York City, remaining on the show from its 2008 series premiere to 2011.
Throughout her time as a public figure, she has been candid about the artificial measures she has taken to make herself look younger.
The year she left the Real Housewives, she openly discussed having ‘liquid facelifts’ that consisted of ‘just injectables’ of Restylane rather than full surgery.

Dr. Patricia Wexler, a top-flight New York dermatologist who has long enjoyed a glittering A-list clientele, was the woman behind the ‘liquid facelift.’
She started getting the treatments from Pat Wexler in 2010 and crowed that the doctor had managed to take ’10 years off my face.’
Jill also told People that she had by that point been getting Botox for a decade as she was ‘scared I’m going to get a turkey neck,’ which ‘runs in my family.’
She left the door open to a normal surgical facelift in future, saying: ‘All the sudden if I woke up with jowls, that’s it. I’m going under the knife.’
