Jesy Nelson mocked over duet clip before new single

Jesy Nelson was cruelly mocked after an old clip of a duet with her boyfriend Zion Foster resurfaced, as the the singer prepares to release her new single Mine.

The former Little Mix singer, 33, is getting ready to come back to the music scene after she quit the girlband in 2020.

But ahead of the upcoming song, who sees Jesy featuring with Zion, 25, an old clip started circulating again on X – formerly Twitter.

The video – which was shared by both on their respective TikTok pages last month – sees the couple lip syncing a previously teased song which says: ‘He’s 25 and I’m 33, but she’s the realest f***ing man I’ll ever meet.’

The clip earned more than 7,000 likes on Jesy’s account only and started going viral again ahead of her big day, but this time the songstress was slammed for the ‘inappropriate’ lyrics.

‘Sounds like a hit !!!’

Just earlier last week, Little Mix has been hit with a shocking claim that Jesy’s backing vocals on the band’s final song as a group were actually recorded by an impersonator.

The girl group – made up of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Ann Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and  Jesy Nelson – was formed on The X Factor in 2011 – but Jesy quit in 2020 due to mental health struggles.

Little Mix released their final song as a foursome in November 2020, one month before Jesy’s departure. The track, in collaboration with Nathan Dawe, was called No Time For Tears.

But Tre Jean-Marie, who produced the song with Nathan, has now dropped a bombshell claim that Jesy’s backing vocals on the track were not sang by her.

‘Fun Fact: All of Jesy’s BVs [backing vocals] (and even one of the leads) on No Time for Tears are somebody else impersonating her because she was quite literally over it,’ Tre wrote on his Instagram Story on Monday.

The producer made the claim in response to the news that the song had been certified Gold in the UK charts, after selling 400,000 copies.

MailOnline has contacted Jesy’s representatives for comment.

The claim comes amid former Little Mix band member Jade Thirwall’s solo debut after she released her first single Angel Of My Dreams earlier this month.

The singer, 31, has been teasing her new music for the past few weeks and her followers were not left disappointed as they gushed it was ‘everything they could have wanted’.

And Jade hasn’t held back in the music video as she explored a new side of her musical style outside of the band.

Describing the track as her ‘love/hate letter to the music industry’, the video begins with flashbacks to clips of Jade performing as a child and her original solo X Factor audition.

Then throughout the video the singer performs as a range of personas as she changes up her look, beginning with a furry blue coat and platinum blonde hair piled on top of her head.

Later in the video she dances through the streets while dressed as an angel all in white, before being replaced as a red-haired version of herself.

The record was written in LA by Jade alongside Steph Jones (Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso), Pablo Bowman (Calvin Harris’ Miracle) and producer Mike Sabbath (RAYE).

Sharing the release of the song over on her Twitter, Jade wrote: ‘Angel Of My Dreams is officially out in the world and I don’t know whether to cry or laugh or s**t myself.

‘This song means everything to me – my love/hate letter to the music industry, telling my story from the beginning of my journey to now.’

She joked: ‘It’s the perfect introduction and launch into my world as a solo artist so buckle the f**k up lolllll’.

Thanking her team she continued: ‘@Mike SabathMusic Pablo Bowman @iamstephjones I can’t explain how grateful I am to have been able to create this magic with you. What a dream team.

‘thank you for allowing our creative brains to merge and go wild. I’m proud of us for throwing the pop rule book out the window.’

She concluded: ‘Thank you to my whole team, from the start of my solo project to now – your unwavering belief in this and willingness to support me doing whatever I wanted gave me the creative freedom I needed to become JADE’.
