Jessie J has shared a teary end-of-year wrap up with fans on Tuesday as she admitted 2025 was ‘one of the hardest’ years of her life.
Sharing to Instagram a close up picture of her eye as she cried, the singer, 37, told fans this year ‘has been heavy and hard’ as she has been ‘feeling really low’.
Encouraging her 14.2 million followers to let themselves feel their emotions, she said: ‘This is an honest story post that will get blown up I’m sure. But who cares.
‘As truthfully in a world full of “everything is fine, I’m happy, I’m good, life is perfect”, there is grief, hurt, pain sadness, heartbreak, reflection and processing this time of year for many of us, alongside the good and great or on its own.’
Jessie added: ‘This year has been heavy and hard in many ways for all of us, for me personally one of the hardest but most magical years of my life. Personally and professionally.
‘But all the sadness has come up this week, it’s the first time l’ve stopped (working and being in public in months) So I’m crying a lot. Writing shit down feeling really low tbh. The lowest I have felt in a while.

‘An accumulation of stuff just making its way to the surface and I’m letting it out. Don’t hold it in people.
‘We are not superhuman or meant to be happy and positive all the time. It’s healthy and normal to cry, and if someone you love is crying don’t say “oh don’t cry” say “come here”
‘Sending love to anyone feeling this way too right now. No positive end to this. Just I’m with ya. It’s sh** sometimes.’
The Price Tag singer recently broke down in tears as she sang about the death of her bodyguard Dave in her final live show of the year at Virgin Media and O2’s Priority by Candlelight series earlier this month.
Looking incredible in a brown silk off the shoulder dress, she performed I’ll Never Know Why from her 2025 album Don’t Tease Me With a Good Time.
The event came just weeks before the seventh anniversary of Dave’s passing in 2018.
On Monday, Jessie said she would give anything to see her ‘big bro’ again and that she has told her two-year-old son Sky ‘about their travels’.
Writing on Instagram, she said: ‘I hate how final death is. I would give anything to post a more recent or new video of us. But instead I will watch these on repeat until we meet again big bro.

The Price Tag singer, 37, revealed in June that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequently underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery
‘You know what it is. I miss you so much. I talk about you to Sky and tell him about our travels. He says “Uncle Dave lives in the clouds and he loves you so much”
‘If you hear me talking to you today, come say hi. 7 years.’
In the first post she made shortly after Dave’s passing in 2018, Jessie reminisced on their close friendship and described him as being her ‘family’.
She penned: ‘The love you had for your children. Was everything. We would laugh till we cried nearly everyday.
‘We created Penelope and the blue Shetland pony together. We talked about our dreams. We talked about what our biggest fears were. You weren’t just my security, we ARE family. 4 years. Me and you.
‘Remember when you got me the blue Shetland pony cake for the end of The Voice Aus. When we went to see Fifty Shades in Aus and giggled the whole way through.
‘When you would text me when I was filming The Voice on the breaks to make me laugh. The late night walks we would take together to get some air. Who would shout ‘banana’ quickest.’

Jessie revealed in June that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequently underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
Now, Jessie has shared that while she is ‘super lucky’ her cancer was caught early, there is a chance it could come back.
Jessie went on to share that her mother was the first person she called after receiving her diagnosis, and revealed the heartbreaking thing she told her.
‘I remember calling my mum first and I said “Well I can’t die because I have Skye”,’ Jessie told ABC News.
Discussing her cancer battle, Jessie said: ‘I’ve been really lucky, super lucky, to find it so early.
‘It wasn’t invasive, thank god. I know there’s a chance it could come back but until then we’re living life.’
The mother-of-one compared her cancer surgery to an episode of Black Mirror.
The pop star opened up about going under the knife admitting she hates being ‘put under’ with a general anaesthetic because it feels like she’s in an episode of the hit Netflix sci-fi show.
