After returning home, she realizes a violent gang has been terrorizing her small town, as she aims to stop them in their tracks.
Alba not only stars but also serves as an executive producer through her newly-minted Lady Spitfire production company, which was formed in February 2024.
The film also features Sixteen Candles star Anthony Michael Hall, 56, who portrays Senator Ezekiel Swann, a powerful politician.
The production companies for the film are Santa Monica, California-based Thunder Road Films, which previously has produced John Wick, The Town and Sicario, as well as Lady Spitfire that Jessica announced she had formed in February.
Trigger Warning will premiere on June 21 on Netflix.
The trailer, which was released last month, shows Jessica as the highly-trained operative who channels her brute force into cleaning up her hometown.
It begins with a mournful parker clad in black, spreading his father’s ashes, while an older man says, ‘I’m sorry about your dad… but I’m glad you’re home, kid.’

She meets up with Senator Ezekiel Swann (Anthony Michael Hall) at the bar she took over before they have a chat at her home as well.
‘People like you around here. They like Harry… or liked him. I’d like to keep it that way,’ Swann tells her.
She sits down with the town’s sheriff Jesse (Mark Webber), telling him, ‘I don’t think his death was an accident.’
‘Parker, stay out of it,’ he tells her, though one night, she interrupts a robbery in progress, as she springs into action, subduing them easily.
‘So what do you do for the government?’ Mike (Gabriel Basso) asks Parker, as we see flashback shots of her in action with her Special Forces team.
Another shot shows her talking on the phone with her cover ops partner and hacker Spider (Tone Bell), who asks her, ‘How’s home?’
‘What do you know about Senator Swann?’ Parker asks, as she’s seen fleeing from gunfire, as it seems Swann has gotten into the weapons game.
‘What have you gotten into?’ Spider asks, while Swann asks Jesse, ‘How much does Parker know about this?’
Her brother Elvis (Jake Weary) tells Swann, ‘Too much,’ as Parker says, ‘This is about more than just my dad. I need to know the truth.’

At one point, Swann and Mike have subdued Parker, tying her up by her wrists, as she tells Mike, ‘If you pivot on the back foot, you won’t punch like such a little bitch.’
Swann leans in and says, ‘Do you want to know what really happened to Harry?’ insinuating she may have been right, that her father Harry’s death wasn’t an accident.
The trailer’s final scenes show someone throwing Molotov cocktails inside her house, setting it ablaze… though that doesn’t stop her from throwing an assailant over the edge as the trailer comes to an end.
The film is directed by Mouly Surya, written by John Brancato & Josh Olson and Halley Gross, and produced by Erica Lee, Basil Iwanyk and Esther Hornstein.
