Jessica Alba took to Instagram to wish her firstborn, Honor Marie Warren, a happy 16th birthday on Friday.
The 43-year-old actress — who recently celebrated her 16th wedding anniversary — posted a sweet carousel of photos and a lengthy tribute to her daughter.
Some of the adorable photos even include throwback snaps of a young Alba the day the teenager was born.
‘My sweet 16 year old Honor,’ she penned in the caption. ‘I’m crying writing this -it’s the most tender feeling in the world being your mom.
‘Your sweet but wise disposition from day one -only allowing those who you trust closest to you – is inspiring. Those who will treat challenges between you with softness, can be silly and most importantly who are authentic to their core.’

‘You have developed this incredible ability to help others without getting sucked into drama you are the shoulder that so many count on.
‘I along with daddy have grown tremendously alongside you as you have this beautiful quiet, healing energy that elevates us all,’ she added.
The Honey actress then went on to thank Honor for making her a mother and teaching her the meaning of parenthood.
‘I’m so so proud of you for choosing what feels right vs what’s cool -for consistently choosing your mental wellness above all else and for unapologetically pursuing your dreams.
‘You are a powerhouse of a human and you are only 16! We are all so blessed my baby and I feel tremendously grateful for our relationship -for our bond,’ the Pomona native wrote.
‘You chose me to be your mama baby girl – it has been the greatest gift my angel. I love you more than words could ever express.
‘You are growing up way too fast for me but I couldn’t be more proud,’ she finished.

Jessica is married to Cash Warren, and in addition to their two daughters Honor and Haven, 12, they share a seven-year-old son named Hayes.
Cash, who is the son of Hill Street Blues actor Michael Warren, met Jessica while working as an assistant director on her critically savaged 2005 film Fantastic Four.
They spontaneously decided to get married at a Beverly Hills courthouse in 2008 while Jessica was nearing her due date with Honor.
In March, the big screen icon shared what its like to age in the industry and what she does to maintain a positive and assertive attitude.
‘There’s this confidence, a sort of swagger that happens when you are in your late 30s and into your 40s and 50s, it’s just undeniable,’ she said.
‘You can really feel the energy And it’s so cool because it’s very much the opposite of what we have been taught as women.
‘Much like how we have been conditioned to think that when you become a mother you are no longer desirable. But the truth is, my friends actually discovered their best selves after they became mothers,’ she explained.
