The full extent of Jesse Wood’s post-divorce money woes can be revealed – with company accounts exposing the dire financial straits he has been left in following his split from Fearne Cotton.
The 49-year-old musician, who is the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, gave a public glimpse of his struggles when he appeared in court this week on a speeding charge.
Jesse candidly revealed how he was living on barely £1,000 a month and struggling for work since the breakdown of his 10-year marriage to broadcaster Fearne two years ago.
He told magistrates after admitting speeding on the A4 in West London: ‘I was due to be employed in 2024 but it got delayed.
‘At the moment I’m living off my savings and I am looking to get employment.’
But the Daily Mail can now reveal the true scale of his financial difficulties, laid bare in company accounts which show his business deeply in the red and burdened with mounting debts.
Rekognition Sound Limited – of which Jesse is the sole director and shareholder – has just £10,943 in its bank accounts while owing £111,903 to creditors. Of that sum, £37,352 relates to bank loans.
Most recent accounts, covering the 12 months to the end of November 2024, show the company is £101,562 in the red – a sharp increase from £56,211 the previous year.

After splitting from Fearne, Jesse moved on and is now in a relationship with Made In Chelsea actress and model Gemma Gregory, with the couple recently marking their first year together

Despite his famous rock-and-roll lineage, Jesse also appears to have no property safety net to fall back on.
His former marital home in Richmond, south-west London, is registered solely in Fearne’s name, meaning he has no legal claim to the £3.15million house she purchased in 2014.
The former couple share two children, son Rex, 12, and daughter Honey, nine.
Born into rock royalty, Jesse followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in music, carving out a living as a guitarist and working with various bands and projects over the years.
He has been a sometime guitarist for rock band Reef, as well as working behind the scenes on music-related ventures.
But whereas his father is worth £100million and lives in a £3million townhouse in Richmond, Jesse’s own business interests have faltered.
In October 2025 he stood down as a director of Reef Band LLP, which channels cash from royalties and live performances. The last accounts for the partnership showed it was £710 in the red.
He had also previously resigned as a director of Tribe Festivals in 2002.
Jesse’s financial plight emerged publicly as he faced a possible driving ban, having already accumulated nine penalty points for previous speeding offences.
In court, he disclosed that his most recent tax return showed a ‘very low’ annual income of around £14,000.
Jesse was handed a six-month driving ban and ordered to pay £255 in fines after his vehicle was clocked driving at 27mph in a 20mph zone.
The revelations about California-born Jesse’s finances come amid a new chapter in his personal life.

Fearne was his second wife, following a previous marriage to Katherine ‘Tilly’ Boone, 52, with whom he also has two adult children.
However, he is now dating former Made In Chelsea actress and model Gemma Gregory, with the couple recently marking their first year together.
Gemma, 39, recently shared a series of intimate snaps – including one of Jesse relaxing in a bath – and wrote: ‘Winter loving. Celebrating one year of love, a year of sobriety and a year of growth.’
The pair first went public last April when Gemma, who has an 11-year-old son from a previous relationship, posted a sun-soaked photo of Jesse, captioned: ‘Bloody love this one.’
Insiders said at the time that their relationship progressed quickly following the shock collapse of Jesse’s decade-long marriage in December 2024, followed by Fearne’s new relationship with Elliot Hegarty, a television director ten years her senior.
Ronnie Wood’s ex-wife Jo Wood, who helped raise Jesse, said of the split from Fearne last year: ‘I was shocked actually. I didn’t expect Fearne to have a new boyfriend. And Jesse was devastated.

‘But sometimes in life, you have to go through these things. It may be daunting at first, but every cloud has a silver lining. Nothing lasts forever. I hope Fearne will be very happy.
‘I’m sure Jesse’s going to be very happy. These things work out. Their time was up – they had to move on.’
Gemma is the London-born daughter of actor Paul Gregory, whose past boyfriends include Henry Brett, a captain of the England polo team.
Jesse, who previously dated the likes of Kate Moss, Kate Hudson and model Jasmine Guinness, has not spoken publicly in detail about his split from Fearne.
She, however, addressed it during an appearance on Lorraine last March, saying: ‘It’s all very amicable and the kids are doing great. I am in a very good place.’
