Following her glorious performance, England’s Red Roses battled it out on the field in a bid to take home the title.
Only France stands between John Mitchell’s side and another Championship clean sweep, but the reality is England should have too much for Les Bleus.
The Red Roses are thriving on the field. Off it, they are determined to use their growing platform to raise interest in and develop the female game ahead of England hosting the 2025 Women’s World Cup.
Ahead of this Six Nations, England’s players took part in a lifestyle photoshoot with the aim of taking women’s rugby to new audiences. They are certainly doing that.
‘I’m very creative off the pitch and I hope that shows on it. I try and find happiness in everything I’m doing,’ said superstar full-back Ellie Kildunne, who sums up the growing force that is women’s rugby.
‘I think it marries really well. We’ve become a team that’s undefendable.’
At 24, Kildunne has declared it her ambition to become the best rugby player – male or female – in the world.
She is on her way and has a remarkable nine tries in just four Six Nations games this year.

Jess’s performance comes just days after she spoke out about delving into her personal life during the writing process for her upcoming third studio album JESS.
The songwriter, who is in a relationship with television presenter and former England footballer Alex Scott, 39, says she embraced ‘the sexual woman side of me’ for one track.
While writing another song, she dealt with difficult emotions as she recalled the loss of a close friend which happened while she was going through a tough break-up.
She told The Sun: ‘I was going through a break-up, I’d lost my friend and I was on my own in LA — it was all going on at once.
‘When I selected the songs for the album, I could picture the emotions I was going through on each one. This is why the album is so personal. Writing it was like therapy.’

The track Love Me, which has the same title as a song on her 2015 debut album I Cry When I Laugh, explores her sexual awakening.
Jess said: ‘I wrote the new Love Me and it’s strange because when I went to start doing it I realised it was the same title of a song I already had.
‘But when you listen to the lyrics of the current one and the old one, they are both very feminine sexually. It’s me embracing the sexual woman side of me.’
She added: ‘The old Love Me is me growing into myself and telling myself it’s going to be OK. Then in this Love Me, I am sure of myself — let’s do this and get under the covers.’
The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter released her last single, Enough, in February.
The single will feature on her new album JESS, set for release on 26th April via EMI Records.
Written in Los Angeles and produced with Adele hitmaker Greg Kurstin, Enough is an optimistic track detailing Jess’ relationship with self-worth and acceptance.
