Jess Glynne has been forced to cancel two of her shows in Florida due to Hurricane Milton.
The singer, 34, announced on Instagram on Monday her tour dates at Ft. Lauderdale and St. Petersburg scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday could no longer go ahead.
Hurricane Milton is set to bring a once-in-a-century storm surge as high as 12 feet to western Florida, with millions living there urged to evacuate.
Jess wrote on her Instagram stories: ‘I’m deeply sorry to announce that our shows on October 8th and October 9th have been cancelled due to the approaching hurricane.
‘Your safety and well-being are my top priorities and it’s simply not possible to hold the shows under these conditions. Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase.

Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a state of emergency for 51 of the state’s 67 counties, as officials across the state urge people to flee before Milton – now a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph – makes landfall at around 5pm Wednesday.
‘Just go now. Beat the traffic and go now and just go to higher ground,’ Tampa Mayor Jane Castor told CNN she is telling residents.
People have been chillingly urged to write their names on their arms in permanent marker for identification.
The warning comes as panicked citizens scramble to stock up on supplies – only to be met with empty shelves – and vehicles block roads out of the state as people make their urgent attempts to flee.
Milton’s center was about 165 miles west-northwest of Progreso, Mexico, and about 745 miles west-southwest of Tampa early Monday, with maximum sustained winds of 125 mph and moving east-southeast at 8 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter released her last single, Enough, in February and is touring across America before doing a string of shows in Germany.
The single features on her new album JESS, which was released on April 26 via EMI Records.

Written in Los Angeles and produced with Adele hitmaker Greg Kurstin, Enough is an optimistic track detailing Jess’ relationship with self-worth and acceptance.
Speaking about the single, Jess said: ‘Enough is the first song that I knew was 100% going on the album. I wrote it in 2020 when I was going through a lot in my life.
‘Everyone had been through it that year, and I was heavily hit by a feeling of insecurity and lack of self-worth. I was going through a lot of changes personally and professionally and my confidence had been really set back.
‘As soon as we started writing, I was reminded in that moment, by the people in the room, that I am good enough and I am so proud of how far I have come.
‘I’ve paid my dues, I’ve grafted and I’m not going back to ever letting anyone make me feel like I’m not good enough ever again. I hope others manage to feel hope and gain the same strength from it that I do – we are all Enough and there’s no going back to feeling otherwise.
‘It was then that I knew in my gut by the way this song made me feel, this had to be the first single from my new album.’
