O'Connell, 52, who has been married to Romijn, 53, since 2007, revealed his partner prefers a natural approach to her hygiene and uses crystal deodorant, which contains natural mineral salts to block odor.

'And I'm here to tell everyone, it doesn't work. The crystals under the arms doesn't work,' the former child star said on Monday's episode of Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim podcast.

'Now I don't mind the way my wife - it doesn't offend me. I actually, ah - this is gonna get a little dirty - I kind of like it when I can smell my wife's body odor.'

O'Connell continued: 'It's kind of like, yeah - she's alive, we're alive, we're living. It's, like, a little kicking and like, it's a little funky town.'

On July 14, the two-time Daytime nominee and the 53-year-old X-Men alum will impressively celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary, and they're proud parents of 17-year-old twin daughters Dolly and Charlie.

Romijn began dating O'Connell in 2004 - the same year her ex-husband filed for divorce from her after five years of marriage - and they got engaged six months after it was finalized.

'It was very much the opinion that she dumped me because her career was going great and mine wasn't, and that's humiliating,' Stamos told People at the time.

'I don't blame her for it. It was just the perception that people took, and maybe they weren't wrong. She was doing great at that time and I wasn't.'
