Jeremy Renner says it was essential to get his daughter Ava creatively involved with his latest project – a memoir about his life titled My Next Breath – including his account of a near-fatal accident in January of 2023.
The Academy Award-nominated actor, 54, who shares the 12-year-old with ex Sonni Pacheco, has traditionally kept his daughter off his social platforms.
The book includes a piece from Ava, who ‘sort of inserted herself into that scenario by writing the essay early on in the thing,’ the Modesto, California native told People on Saturday of her contribution.
The Mayor Of Kingstown star continued, ‘I asked her, at the end of writing the book, if I could put her essay in the beginning of the book.’
Renter said that he remembered Ava would also be contributing to the audiobook, which gave him a real sense of pride.
‘I totally forgot about the idea that she’s going to have to do the narration of that too,’ said Renner, who plays the role of Hawkeye/Clint Barton in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Renner added, ‘I was just reminded and so proud of how far we’ve come as a family, how far we’ve come as father and daughter.’
Renner said that while he usually keeps images of his daughter offline because he has to ‘protect [his] girl,’ this time was different.
The actor said he was ‘just very proud of her and how far she’s come’ in this case, and shared a clip of her working on the project on his Instagram Stories, People reported.
Renner – who was linked to single stunner Jessica Simpson, 45, in May – chat with the outlet Saturday at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.
Renner was there to attend the 10th Anniversary Gala for A Sense of Home, a Los Angeles nonprofit focused on preventing people from becoming homeless.
