Jeremy Renner channeled some of his superhero character Hawkeye’s superhero moves a year after his devastating snowplow accident in a Super Bowl ad for Silk almond milk on Sunday.
At the beginning of the clip, the 53-year-old actor was seen taking a drink from a carton of the non-dairy drink, after which he used the almond milk to make himself a smoothie while singing James Brown’s hit I Got You (I Feel Good).
Renner — who recently said he was ‘kind of excited’ about death — then performed a spinning back kick and knocked the cap off of another carton of almond milk, which conveniently tipped over into his morning coffee.
He jumped onto his kitchen table and twisted around before tossing pancakes onto a plate and throwing a wooden spoon into the side of a carton of Silk, much of which spilled out into his daughter Ava’s bowl of cereal.
When the Hawkeye star’s daughter, whom he shares with his former wife Sonni Pacheco, expressed surprise about her father’s agility, he quipped: ‘Just getting back in my routine.’

The Academy Award–nominated performer’s advertisement was filmed just one year after he nearly died in a snowplow incident.
The actor was crushed by a snowcat weighing over 14,000 pounds in an accident that took place on New Year’s Day of 2023 near his home outside Reno, Nevada.
He was airlifted to a hospital and was placed in intensive care, where doctors determined that he had broken over 30 bones when he was run over.
Renner, who was listed in critical condition, underwent several successful surgeries and began a miraculous recovery that saw him released from the hospital after just over two weeks.
In the year since he nearly died, Jeremy has documented his strides and newfound lust for life on social media for his adoring fans.
The actor spoke about working on the Silk advertisement during a recent interview with People, and he stated that he saw the opportunity to perform in a physically intense manner as a way to showcase his successful recovery.
‘I still don’t believe it, that it’s even really transpired. There’s some sort of milestones that give me confidence, and this is probably another one of them,’ he said.
Renner added that he didn’t expect to be able to perform the stunts in the ad had it not been for the efforts of his medical team and for his continued dedication to recovery.

‘I never would’ve tried or attempted any of these types of moves, or dancing around like James Brown on a countertop. I did everything, and it felt good and didn’t hurt too much the next day,’ he said.
He also shared that it was important for his daughter to be a part of the ad and his healing process.
‘It’s a beacon of hope for me and for my daughter as well, and this is a new part of our journey together in recovery and in life… It represents a lot to me, and I’m very thankful to be here to do this,’ he said.
Renner added that the commercial marked the first time Ava had ever been in a filmed project, and joked that he had ‘put her to work early.’
