Jennifer Lopez cuts a chic figure after Jennifer Garner refused to ‘gossip’ about her divorce from Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez showed off an eye-catching haute couture ensemble on Thursday, shortly after her ex-husband Ben Affleck’s previous ex-wife Jennifer Garner refused to ‘gossip’ about his most recent split.

In an Instagram post shared with her 246 million Instagram followers, J.Lo took some inspiration from the French with a tasteful gray flannel beret.

The 56-year-old actress and singer wore her long caramel-colored hair styled pin straight and let it peak out from under her hat and drape across her chest.

She complimented her cap with an intriguing black jacket featuring voluminous sleeves and a contrasting slim waist that emphasized her hourglass figure.

Lopez, who appeared to have snapped her selfie’s in an office building, completed her outfit with a pair of stylishly voluminous pleated gray slacks.

The If You Had My Love singer added a splash of color to her muted ensemble with her matte burgundy lipstick. 

‘Très moi [very much me],’ she captioned her photo to emphasize the French flavor of her look. 

Lopez was showing off shortly after her ex-husband Ben Affleck’s former wife Jennifer Garner declared her unwillingness to share details about his most recent divorce. 

In Marie Claire UK’s new Wellness Issue, Garner, 53, said she prefers to not talk about other people’s personal lives.

The timing of her comments was interesting, as there has been nonstop chit chat about her ex Affleck and his ex-wife Lopez for the past few years.

It has been one year since Affleck and J.Lo finalized their divorce after two years of marriage.

‘It doesn’t serve me to take in gossip about myself or anyone else, much less my kids, so I don’t do it,’ said the Daredevil actress. 

Which to her apparently meant she wasn’t taking questions about Affleck, Lopez or their children. 

Garner and Affleck were married from 2005 until 2018 and have three children together: Violet, Fin and Samuel. 

Lopez shares her twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. 

Garner also said that she likes to stay close to the people she loves: ‘I make a big, concerted effort to see my people as much as I can, because that’s what matters…. That’s where your resilience is: it’s in your relationships and in the people who carry you through,’ she noted. 

In the same interview, she said her divorce from Affleck was painful. 

‘The actual breaking up of a family is what was hard. Losing a true partnership and friendship is what was hard,’ said the Alias actress.

But it feels like time heals all wounds for Garner, as she said, ‘It’s important for women to know, when they think, “Oh, I’ll never see that, I’ll never have that feeling, I’ll never be friends with this person again” [that] time is the opportunity to heal.’

She and Affleck have seemed notably friendlier in recent years as they co-parent their children.

And Garner made it clear that she has always put her children first even though she has a big Hollywood career.

‘It never felt like a sacrifice. It was really hard to go to work and it definitely shaped the jobs I chose, in a big way,’ she said.

Though most of her comments were fairly cryptic, Garner was straight forward when talking about her workout routine. 

Garner admitted that she was forced to change up her exercise routine after opting for one that was too intense.

‘I realized that I had pursued strength and stamina at the expense of mobility, so I’m incorporating things I haven’t done in so long, like yoga. I have to back up to go forward,’ she shared.

She talked to the magazine to promote the second season of Apple’s hit thriller The Last Thing He Told Me.
