Jennifer Lopez is producing a new Bob The Builder animated film in a shock career move for the star.
J-Lo’s production company Nuyorican Productions has joined forces with In The Heights star Anthony Ramos for the new film based on the beloved long-running children’s series, reports Deadline.
The film will see Ramos, 32, voice the iconic character – and produce alongside ShadowMachine’s Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico.
Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina for Nuyorican Productions will co-produce the project from Mattel Films.
The film will follow Roberto AKA Bob as he travels to Puerto Rico for a major construction job.

There he takes on issues affecting the island and digs deeper into what it means to build – with the film celebrating the ‘vibrant and colorful textures of the Caribbean Latin nations and their people.’
The Bob The Builder series ran for 12 seasons from 1999-2011 and made famous the catchphrase: ‘Can we fix it? Yes, we can!’ – with the character even landing a UK Christmas number one single in 2000.
Felipe Vargas will write the film, with the project overseen by Kevin McKeon, Ivan Sanchez and Arturo Thur De Koós for Mattel and Natalie Haack Flores for Nuyorican.
