Jennifer Lawrence Hints at Baby’s Name During Outing with Cooke Maroney

Jennifer Lawrence stepped out in New York City with husband Cooke Maroney and their seven-month old baby on Monday.

The actress dropped a big hint about the gender and name of her second child by the blanket that was in the little one’s stroller.

The beige-and-ivory blankie read Louie. There was a row of Ls, row of Os, row of Us, row of Is and row of Es that spelled out Louie.

That may be the name of the designer of the blanket, or it could be the child’s moniker.

The 35-year-old Academy Award winner — who just opened up about postpartum anxiety — looked warm and stylish as she bundled up in an olive green wool trench coat.

She tied a patterned blue scarf around her neck and flashed a navy blue sweater underneath her outer layer. The Casino actress wore a pair of bright red trousers, finishing her look with green and black sneakers as well as Ray-Ban sunglasses.

A mom-of-two, Jennifer kept close to her spouse, 41, who pushed their little one in a stroller. In addition to the infant, they are parents to three-year-old son Cy.

She accessorized further with a green, suede purse which she slung over her shoulder.

The star’s blonde hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, with loose pieces and wispy bangs framing her makeup-free face.

Jennifer says her postpartum anxiety experience following the birth of her second child helped tackle her role in Die My Love.

She plays Grace — a single mom who struggles with motherhood — in the black comedy-drama movie, and for the role, she took insight from her life.

Speaking with People, she said: ‘I didn’t really end up having really bad postpartum [anxiety] until my second [baby]. I think that just added another layer.

‘I mean, I don’t think that you have to have kids to play a parent by any means, but having that information about what a tiny person needs, and is looking for… just having that information was helpful.’

Jennifer revealed on The Graham Norton Show last month that she had to dance naked with co-star Robert Pattinson, 39, after being asked to do interpretive dance by 55-year-old director Lynne Ramsay.

‘Lynne Ramsay, the director, challenged us during rehearsals… Robert and I had to do interpretative dance lessons together. We both embarrass quite easily, and we didn’t really know each other, so it was totally humiliating.

‘Then on the first day of filming, she asked whether we remembered what we did and asked if we would do it naked!’

Speaking at a Cannes press conference earlier this year, the actress shared that she related to her character’s struggles after she faced loneliness in early motherhood.

She also noted that the opportunity for the role came shortly after she had given birth in 2022.

‘I had just read my first [baby]. And there’s not really anything like postpartum. It’s extremely isolating, which is so interesting when Lynn [Ramsay] moves this couple into Montana.

‘She doesn’t have a community. She doesn’t have her people. But the truth is, extreme anxiety and extreme depression is isolated, no matter where you are. You feel like an alien. And so it deeply moved me. I wanted to work with Lynn Ramsey since I saw Rat Catcher,’ she said at the time.

In a 2022 interview with Vogue, Jennifer opened up about the joy of becoming a first-time mother, sharing that the birth of her son Cy ‘felt like my whole life had started over.’

‘I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing,’ she gushed.

Elsewhere in the conversation, she described, ‘I mean the euphoria of Cy is just — Jesus, it’s impossible. My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that.’
