US-born rapper Jelly Roll has taken to social media to claim he was ‘treated like a criminal’ after entering an upscale fashion house in Sydney.
The 40-year-old, who has done jail time in the States, loaded a video to his stories on Wednesday to rant about his experience with the Louis Vuitton store in the CBD.
Wearing a baseball cap backwards and dressed in his trademark sweats, Jelly Roll – real name Jason DeFord – was photographed outside the famed A-list shop.
Appearing angry after the experience, the heavily tattooed Tennessee-born artist began:Â ‘Hey man, the Louis Vuitton in Sydney, legitimately just treated us like we were finna (sic) come in and rob that place.Â
‘I have never been looked at more like a crim… Listen, the last time I was looked at like a criminal this bad… I was an actual criminal this bad.’
Jelly Roll, who arrived Down Under last month for a series of shows, did not offer any details about what happened inside the store.Â

He was spotted later on an e-bike and chatting to fans in the street after his store visit.

It comes after Jelly Roll touched down at Sydney Airport last month ahead of his first headline Australian tour.
The acclaimed performer looked notably slimmed down as he made his way through the airport after reportedly losing 90 kilograms.
The heavily tattooed star wore a baggy black Reebok jumper with matching trackpants for the travel day.
He attempted to go incognito in a Tennessee Titans hat while flanked by a security entourage.
The Wild Ones hitmaker has since played shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Jelly Roll has set tongues wagging over the last few months after losing 90kg and debuting a slimmer figure.
The Nashville star unveiled a new health and fitness goal last December while in conversation with his wife Bunnie XO on her Dumb Blonde podcast.
He confessed that he wanted to appear on the cover of Men’s Health magazine.
‘I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026. That’s my new goal,’ he announced.
The star declared: ‘I wanna have one of the biggest transformations.’
He added that he was ‘so glad’ to be having the discussion in front of an audience.
‘I did this publicly for a reason. I wanna be honest about my struggles with it with people,’ he noted.
The musician discussed body image and fame, saying, ‘I think that people that become as big as I became, when they lose the weight, they’re kind of ashamed.
‘They’re so ashamed that they go hide and lose the weight, and then they come back out [and] they don’t really know how to interact with the world looking different or feeling different, and they kinda gotta find their whole new way.
‘I wanted to lose it in front of everybody. I wanted to talk about it.’
Jelly emphasised the difficulty of losing weight in the spotlight, explaining, ‘I wanna bring people along with me…I didn’t become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it.’
He also acknowledged, ‘I somehow managed to be this successful with carrying 550 pounds. That’s insane.’
