Jeff Goldblum’s Hilarious Confession About Kim Kardashian

Jeff Goldblum made an hilarious confession during his appearance on Capital Breakfast on Friday – revealing the thing he has in common with Kim Kardashian.

The actor, 73, left the show’s hosts and listeners in stitches after admitting live on air that he didn’t know what a jacket potato is – just like the socialite, 45, recently did. 

The Wicked star joined radio presenters Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby to discuss his new film Wicked: For Good. 

‘Do you know what a jacket potato is?,’ Chris asked teasing the actor.

But Jeff replied clueless: ‘A jacket, J-A-C-K-E-T potato? A jacket potato? No, I’ve never heard this. 

‘This is the first time I’ve ever heard that phrase in my life. Does everybody know it here in England ways?’

‘Yeah, I think everyone knows it here, but it feels like it’s not filtering through to Hollywood,’ Chris quipped.

‘There are many things that don’t come across the pond, you know, as you know,’ Jeff replied to which Sian added: ‘It’s a shame.’

He joked he could be the ‘messenger’ between the UK and U.S.

‘Yeah, it’s a shame. It’s horrible. We’re poor. We’re poor for it,’ he poked fun before trying to take a blind guess: ‘Now, wait. Jacket potato. Let me guess. Wait… Jacket potato. Jacket potato. I don’t know. Well, what’s a jacket potato?’

Jordan was quick to find a comparison with the Skims founder, saying: ‘Well, Kim Kardashian didn’t know either. Listen to this.’

They proceeded playing a recording of Kim and fellow actress Sarah Paulson’s recent interview on Capital Breakfast with Grime Gran, aka influencer Margie Keefe, 81.

The host asked: ‘You’re a big fan of a jacket potato, ain’t you?’, to which Kim replied: ‘Who?’

‘Do you like a jacket potato?,’ Grime asked again, but Kim appeared perplexed and questioned: ‘What is that?’

The Skims founder was left baffled when quizzed about jacket potatoes on British radio leaving Sarah in stitches

‘I don’t know what that is,’ Kim continued, as Sarah said: ‘I don’t know what a jacket potato is’

‘I really want to know if you like a jacket potato,’ American Horror Story icon Sarah, 50, wondered.

But the Kim remarked: ‘I don’t know what that is,’ to which the host exclaimed in shock: ‘You don’t know what a jacket potato is?!’

‘It’s a potato cooked in the skin,’ Grime explained while Kim appeared delighted, replying: ‘Oh, I love that. Yeah.’

After playing the recording, Jeff and the presenters were left in stitches in the studio.

‘Very good. Well, of course, I should have known. A jacket potato: the potato with its jacket on!,’ the actor laughed joking.

‘Hey, I hear, and I’m no expert, but from what I read, the skin has a lot of good nutrients in it, doesn’t it? I myself like a nice jacket potato. We call it a baked potato there.’
