Jeff Brazier has lifted the lid on the reason why he wouldn’t sign up for beleaguered show Strictly Come Dancing.
The TV presenter, 45, admitted in an interview with Closer that if presented with the opportunity to appear on the next season of the hugely popular ITV show, he would have to decline.
He said: ‘I would be uncomfortable doing the next series, because I feel like that was [my son] Bobby’s world. I want to leave that as his thing.’
His EastEnders actor son, Bobby Brazier, 20, finished in second place last year alongside his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell.
Gushing about his son later in the interview, Jeff added: ‘Bobby’s got such an amazing opportunity to pursue his passions, and that’s very much acting…

‘I don’t care what either of my boys do, as long as they’re nice people.’
Rising star Bobby has starred in EastEnders for two years but found a new level of fame after appearing on the ITV programme, drawing in thousands of fans.
The model and actor was hugely successful on the show and is said to have been inundated with job offers since competing last year.
And now, he has landed a major new TV role, alongside some acting legends.
Marking his first acting gig away from the BBC One soap, Bobby will star in new British drama Curfew.
Paramount+ has announced that Bobby alongside former EastEnders stars Lucy Benjamin, Larry Lamb and Anita Dobson have joined the cast of the anticipated show.
The EastEnders stars join series leads Sarah Parish, Mitchell Robertson, Mandip Gill and Alexandra Burke on the six-part crime thriller which will air on Paramount+ in the UK.
An adaptation of Jayne Cowie’s Novel After Dark, Curfew commenced filming earlier this year.

The series will focus on a society governed by ‘The Women’s Safety Act’ where men are tracked by ankle tag and confined to their homes by a strict curfew from 7pm every night.
When a woman is discovered murdered in Curfew hours police officer Pamela Green (Parish) believes a man must be responsible, but if she proves a man committed the brutal crime she could bring The Women’s Safety Act crashing down.
Bobby will play James, a vocal schoolboy advocating for the abolishment of the curfew.
It comes after Bobby heartbreakingly admitted that despite being a fan-favourite on Strictly, he wanted to be voted off early because he hated the attention that fame brought.
He struggled with the spotlight during his time on the show as he confessed losing his mother Jade Goody at a young age made him ‘shy’.
Jade tragically passed away in 2009 after a battle with cervical cancer, leaving behind sons Bobby and Freddie, 19, who she shared with their father Jeff Brazier.
In an interview with Sunday Times Magazine, Bobby said: ‘I don’t want to be famous. Maybe I did when I was younger, now I just want to act. I went on Strictly because dancing makes me happy.
‘The more I learn about fame, the less I’m interested in it. A couple of weeks during Strictly, it got too much. I only felt peace when I came home. I wanted to get voted off.

Bobby explained that the heartbreaking loss of his mother Jade (pictured) at a young age could be the reason why he is uninterested in fame and fortune

‘What happened to me was very public. It made me shy as a kid. I was more interested in observing the world than engaging in it.’
Bobby’s ex-girlfriend Ellie Leach was crowned winner of the series alongside her pro partner Vito Coppola.
But, less than one year on the show is reportedly in ‘panic mode’ behind the scenes amid the show’s ongoing misconduct chaos as things get ‘worse by the day’.
The BBC show has been engulfed by drama since Giovanni Pernice was suspended after his celebrity partner Amanda Abbington accused him of abusive behaviour, saying he was ‘cruel and mean.’ He denies the claims.
It was followed by Graziano Di Prima’s sacking last month over reports he verbally and physically abused Zara McDermott during rehearsals. Graziano has apologised for kicking his former partner and added other allegations do not align with ‘how he remembers it.’

Now a source has told The Mirror: ‘This crisis shows no signs of abating. it’s full panic stations mode as there is not a clear path out of this mess.’
Before adding: ‘It’s getting worse by the day’. MailOnline have contacted BBC for comment.
And as insiders fear the family show is ‘fatally tarnished’, it seems the list of allegations could be getting bigger as former celebs form an alliance.
A source told The Sun: ‘Lots of the celebrities that have been on the show are getting together, calling each other and WhatsApping each other.
‘They’re saying, “Well, this one did this to me, did this happen to you? Was this right? I was pushed. Or I got a bruised toe,” and building cases to what shouldn’t have been allowed. They’re all comparing notes, as it were.’
The source added: ‘So, it’s really the celebs versus the dancers and former dancers, who are all worried for their jobs now because the celebs have got back their power.’
