Jay-Z’s rape accuser has admitted to making ‘mistakes’ in the lawsuit alleging the rapper and disgraced music mogul, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, raped her in 2000.
Earlier this month, the accuser — who is going by the name of Jane Doe — accused Jay-Z and Combs of sexually assaulting her when she was 13-years-old at a party following the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City.
The Empire State Of Mind rapper, 55, has since condemned and vehemently denied the allegations while slamming her attorney Tony Buzbee as ‘a deplorable human.’
The 38-year-old woman, who has so far remained anonymous, sat down with NBC News on Friday and acknowledged inconsistencies in the lawsuit that initially was filed a few months earlier in October.
In regard to remembering the night the alleged ‘catastrophic event’ occurred, she told the news outlet that she ‘made some mistakes.’
Some of the inconsistencies include her claiming her father had picked her up after the alleged rape took place. However, he has since stated that he does not remember doing so.
The woman who accused Jay-Z, 55, of raping her when she was 13 with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 55, has admitted to making ‘mistakes’ in her lawsuit; seen in January in L.A.
While also talking to NBC News on Thursday, he said that based on their address at the time, the drive to pick up his daughter would have been estimated to be around five hours.
‘I feel like I would remember that, and I don’t. I have a lot going on, but I mean, that’s something that would definitely stick in my mind.’
However, he stated that he did pick her up in the middle of the night at one time, but told the outlet that it had been locally.
Based on her father’s recollection of the night, the woman stood by her own claims that he had picked her up.
‘There are a lot of things, and this is stuff that we argue about constantly, something he said or did back in New York around that time period he just doesn’t remember. It actually causes a lot of fights sometimes in the household.’
She told the outlet of the night, ‘I was upset, and the person at the gas station could tell that I was obviously upset, and she let me use the phone.
‘I called my dad because he was the only person I trust at that time. I told him I messed up and I needed a ride home,’ she explained. ‘We rode home in silence. He didn’t ask me what happened. He didn’t ask me what I did or where I was.’
Attorney Tony Buzbee also commented on her father’s memory of the night, and informed NBC, ‘We agree he states he doesn’t remember.’

‘His daughter explains that he was in no state to remember during that point in time due to personal issues he was having then. We are talking about a time frame more than twenty years ago,’ he said.
Another alleged inconsistency was her claim that she spoke to another celebrity at the party about the alleged sexual assault, but that celebrity has claimed they were not in the state of New York at the time.
The location the woman described where the alleged rape took place does not match where Jay-Z and Diddy were seen in images from the night.
However, it is not known the exact time the pictures were taken, nor is it known if the pair went to another location that night.
She also claimed to have talked to Benji Madden at the party, but a representative for the musician denies that Benji and his brother Joel were in attendance due to being on tour in the Midwest at the time.
The woman told NBC, ‘Honestly, what is the clearest is what happened to me and [the] route that I took to what happened to me. Not all of the faces there are as clear.
‘So I have made some mistakes,’ she admitted. ‘I may have made a mistake in identifying.’
The after-party for the 2000 VMAs was held at the Lotus nightclub in NYC, and does not match the description of the location the woman claimed the sexual assault occurred.

‘I didn’t know exactly where we were going or even how long it took,’ she previously recalled.
Buzbee also stated, ‘We have attempted to confirm the correct location. We have never suggested the location was the Lotus club.’
‘Our client has been very specific and detailed about the description of the venue she says she was taken to, and she has never stated it was the Lotus Club. We won’t speculate on whether there was an after-after party, because again, she doesn’t know that.’
In October, the woman filed the lawsuit with Combs named as the defendant. And then on Sunday, December 8, it was re-filed to name Jay-Z (Shawn Corey Carter) as the other defendant.
When asked why she decided to go public, the woman told NBC News, ‘You should always fight for what happened to you.’
‘You should always advocate for yourself and be a voice for yourself. You should never let what somebody else did ruin or run your life. I just hope I can give others the strength to come forward like I came forward.’
After revealing that she made some inconsistencies in the lawsuit, Carter issued a statement to DailyMail.com.
‘Today’s investigative report proves this “attorney” Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame.’

He added, ‘This incident didn’t happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. True Justice is coming. We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realize it yet, but, soon.’
And Diddy’s own attorney, Alex Spiro, shared a statement to DailyMail.com that read: ‘It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting, but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press.
‘We are asking the Court to dismiss this frivolous case today, and will take up the matter of additional discipline for Mr. Buzbee and all the lawyers that filed the complaint,’ he said.
Jay-Z’s attorney slammed the allegations a ‘sham’ in documents obtained by DailyMail.com.
In a letter to Honorable Judge Torres, his attorney wrote that, ‘Basic facts in her narrative — the who, what, when, and where — are wrong.
‘She claims her father picked her up after the assault, her own father denies that ever happened,’ he wrote.
‘She claims she spoke with Benji Madden at the party that night, but he was on tour in the Midwest at the time, forcing her to admit “I have made some mistakes. I may have made a mistake in identifying.”‘
Jay-Z’s attorney added, ‘When pressed, the Plaintiff admitted she was “guessing” about key details, including the time it took to reach the venue. She admits she has no single corroborating witness over the last 24 years.’

He stated that Buzbee has no ‘factual basis whatsoever’ and is ‘walking back the complaint he put his name to – excusing these glaring inconsistencies by pointing the finger at the case being referred by another firm who allegedly vetted the story before sending to them.’
‘The heinous allegations against Mr. Carter are patently false’ the attorney said, later adding Buzbee ‘failed to undertake a reasonable inquiry into the facts before filing the complaint.’
He asked that Buzbee ‘withdraw’ the claims — which are harming ‘Mr. Carter, his family, his businesses, his employees, and his legacy.’
‘It also impairs the integrity of the judicial system, thwarts the pursuit of justice, and silences the voices of true victims…’
The lawsuit alleged that the woman — then aged 13 — took a drink at the VMAs afterparty that had ‘a reddish-yellow mixture that tasted like orange juice, cranberry juice, and something bitter’ and ‘began to feel woozy and lightheaded, making her need to lie down.’
She claimed she laid down in ‘what appeared to be an empty bedroom’ and then Combs, Jay-Z and a female celebrity referred to as ‘Celebrity B’ entered the room.
‘Combs aggressively approached Plaintiff with a crazed look in his eyes, grabbed her, and said, “You are ready to party!”‘ legal documents read.
The accuser said in the lawsuit that Combs threw her ‘toward a wall,’ leading her to fall, then ‘grabbed her again and threw her on the bed.’
She went on to claim that Jay-Z began stripping her down ‘as she grew more and more disoriented’ and held her down as ‘he vaginally raped her, while Combs and Celebrity B watched.’

‘After [Jay-Z] finished, he stepped back toward the wall. Combs then stepped forward and vaginally raped Plaintiff while Carter and Celebrity B watched,’ the suit says.
According to legal docs, in the 2000 incident, ‘another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor. Many others were present at the after party, but did nothing to stop the assault.
‘Carter has been with Combs during many such instances described herein. Both perpetrators must face justice,’ Jane Doe claimed.
The accuser also said that Combs tried to force her ‘to perform oral sex on him,’ at which point she ‘fought back, standing up quickly and punching out at the same time, hitting Combs in the neck,’ at which point he ‘stopped his attempt.’
The accuser ‘fell into a deep depression which continues to affect every facet of her life,’ according to the lawsuit.
She ‘suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and a seizure disorder caused by stress and trauma,’ the suit states.
The accuser has also ‘has had difficulty maintaining normal relationships and lives largely withdrawn from society.’
The accuser is asking the court for unspecified damages in the suit, which had been filed under New York state’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.
