Janet Jackson Celebrates 60th Birthday in Style

celebrated her milestone 60th birthday with her loved ones over the weekend. 

The day after her 'sixtylicious' birthday on Saturday, May 16, she  

Her older sister La Toya Jackson, 69, was also in attendance and . 

At one point, she was seen sharing a sweet hug with her older sister at what appeared to be a surprise birthday party. 

In the 10-minute video, she celebrated in comfort and was effortlessly stylish in an oversize, 'Rock and Roll' T-shirt paired with wide-leg pants and sneakers. 

The singer-songwriter — who  of the recently released biopic — also blew out the candles on at least two birthday cakes.

The day after the extravagant bash, Janet went on Instagram, shared the video from her party and expressed her gratitude for the birthday wishes she received.

'I'm so grateful for the outpouring of love today,' she began the caption of her post.

'You have all made my 60th so special,' she continued. 'Every single post, tribute, and wish touches my heart. 

'I thank God for every additional day of life and for putting each of you in it,' she added. 

'Wishing you all returned blessings & I look forward to seeing you soon. I love you,' she concluded before signing off as just 'J.' 

As seen in the video, she enjoyed a pool party with her friends and mingled in a lavish abode heavily decorated with massive, hot pink balloons. 

In one clip from the montage, she clinked glasses with her loved ones as one of her friends gave a touching toast for her birthday. 

'We are so blessed to celebrate who God made you and called you to be. Live ... unconditionally and free.' 

Many of her friends were also seen and heard singing to her and delivering sweet speeches for her birthday. 

Janet clinked glasses with crowds of partygoers and had a huge grin plastered on her face throughout the video. 

In addition to the numerous heartwarming speeches as well as toasts, which seemingly led to many shots, Janet was also the recipient of various gifts.

In her Instagram Reel, Janet showed off a fun, 60th birthday-themed tumbler she received from one of her friends.

The video also showed off the over-the-top decorations inside and outside of her mansion, including a balloon display put together to resemble high-top sneakers. 

Her Instagram post was met with a flurry of additional birthday wishes in the comments section, including from fellow A-list stars. 

'Happy. C. Day. J. J. From Cuzn snoop,' rapper Snoop Dogg  

'Happy Birthday Queen !! Tons of blessings on your special day,' supermodel Naomi Campbell wrote.

Singer Kylie Minogue, actress Octavia Spencer and rapper Ludacris also chimed in to wish Janet a happy birthday in the comments section.

She is the youngest out of 10 Jackson siblings, .

Many of Janet's brothers as well as their sister La Toya were present at the movie premiere, but Janet opted out of joining them at the premiere and de facto family reunion. 

The biopic premiered in late April and notably does not include a portrayal of Janet. 

Last month, La Toya revealed that Janet had 'kindly declined' to be included and portrayed in the film. 

'I wish everybody was in the movie,' La Toya told Variety at the Hollywood premiere in April. 'She was asked and she kindly declined so you have to respect her wishes.' 

Michael director Antoine Fuqua previously said it was 'very important' for him to have the Jackson family involved in the biopic. 'I have so much respect and love for Janet, but you know, it's OK. She's supportive of Jaafar and that's what matters.'

Two of Michael's children, Bigi and Paris, are also the other family members not involved in the project in any manner. 

Michael's daughter Paris publicly criticized the film for including 'a lot of inaccuracies' and 'a lot of full blown lies.' 

In a video she previously posted to social media, Paris said: 'The film panders to a very specific section of my dad's fandom that still lives in the fantasy, and they're going to be happy with it.'
