Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren, and Gillian Anderson Shine on L’Oréal Catwalk in Paris

Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren and Gillian Anderson showed off their age-defying looks as they graced the L’Oréal catwalk in Paris on Monday night amid Fashion Week.

The show was titled ‘Liberty. Equality. Sisterhood. Because You’re Worth It’, and was held in front of Paris City Hall, with Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum and Cara Delevingne also strutting their stuff.

Jane, 87, Helen, 80, and Gillian, 57, looked equally as glamorous as the younger models as they put on a confident display and posed up a storm.

Film icon Jane looked sensational in a full-length silver dress and matching shimmering shoes.

Meanwhile Helen rocked a sparkling silver long-sleeve top and black gloves, completing the ensemble with smart dark trousers.

Gillian turned heads in a silver strappy dress as she made her way down the catwalk looking as gorgeous as ever.

Helen’s catwalk appearance comes after she hit out at society’s attitude to ageing, revealing she can’t stand the condescending manner in which younger people have spoken to her.

The actress turned 80 in July and revealed that while she had no issues with getting older, she laments the way she is now perceived.

Discussing her age, she mused: ‘The hardest part is the condescension. It really annoys me.’

Recalling an outing with her husband Taylor Hackford, also 80, she told The Times: ‘If my husband and I are holding hands, someone might say, ‘Oh, look. How sweet.’

‘It’s like, excuse my language, ‘F**k off.’ There’s something very condescending about some people’s attitudes and I think they think they are being kind and generous. But they’re not. They’re being insulting.’

Asked whether turning 80 was how she expected, Helen mused: ‘My mum said something very wise to me many years ago.’

Helen recalled: She said: ‘Never be afraid of getting older. An amazing thing happens. When you’re 18 the thought of being 35 is horrific. And you get to 35 and it’s actually a lot better than being 18.’

”And when you’re 35 the thought of being 55 … Then you hit 55 and you realise there are great things about being 55. Your life has moved on, you lose certain stuff but you gain other stuff.’ That’s certainly the case for me.’

Currently, Helen can be seen in The Thursday Murder Club, which follows a group of ‘geriatric sleuths’ who solve murders from their retirement home.

The movie, based on the best selling novel by TV’s Richard Osman, also stars Pierce Brosnan, Sir Ben Kinsley and Celia Imrie.

Elsewhere at the L’Oréal show, Kendall showed off her incredible figure in a dramatic white sheer gown, with a daring thigh-high split.

Heidi flaunted her ample cleavage in a plunging black gown as she strutted her stuff along the runway.

Cara cut a sultry figure in a lace couture creation by Georges Chakra, as she followed some of fashion’s biggest names on the runway.

In an unlikely addition, at least for European fashion fans, Molly-Mae Hague took to the runway, having previously declined the offer due to struggles with her own body confidence.

The former Love Island star wowed in a silver satin gown, beaming as she showed off new shorter locks for her strut down the vast runway.

The reality star turned influencer icon looked full of confidence after vowing a year ago she would build up her confidence to walk in the show.

In scenes aired during her Prime reality show Molly-Mae: Behind It All, the mum of one explained how she was asked to walk in the September 2024 Paris show for the brand.

‘They did ask me to walk but I said no. It’s just not my bag,’ she was seen telling L’Oréal makeup artists backstage at the show. ‘These legs weren’t cut out for this.’

Glancing around at Kendall Jenner and others in rehearsals, she explained: ‘This is why I couldn’t walk, I’m looking at everybody in here and they are absolutely impeccable.’

‘Imagine all the models walking down and then there’s me, I just would have felt really out of place.’

Molly-Mae had a familiar face to walk alongside with on Monday night in fellow Brit beauty Rochelle Humes.

Rochelle, 36, is no stranger to working with the French brand, having walked the runway for them last year during Paris Fashion year.

Ahead of L’Oréal’s Paris Fashion Week show, fans were treated to a takeover of London’s Covent Garden to celebrate diversity and confidence.

The Beauty Backstage experience took over the famous Piazza, offering an interactive journey across L’Oréal Paris’ beloved offerings.

Paris Fashion Week runs from Monday September 29 to Tuesday October 7, with a host of stars expected to be heading to the French capital for shows.
