Jana Kramer is on the mend after being hospitalized while on her ‘babymoon’ in Florida with fiancé Allan Russell.
The 39-year-old actress, who is heavily pregnant with her and Allan’s first child together, shared photos and a video from her trip to the ER Sunday on Instagram.
The One Tree Hill alum shared why she felt the need to seek medical care in a long post.
‘Well. Our babymoon didn’t go as planned but there were some lessons learned,’ she explained.
‘First off and most important, baby is good♥️.’

The Steppin’ Into The Holiday star shared a video showing a baby monitor with the sound of the little one’s heartbeat as she gave a thumbs up to the camera.
She then told her friends and fans, ‘The back pain I’ve been dealing with for weeks wasn’t just back pain. Lesson number one…don’t just brush off pain, because it can be more serious than u think.’
‘So many times (moms especially) just brush off pain because we are the last ones to take care of ourselves. When I posted about my back hurting a week ago I just had chalked it up to pregnancy and didn’t tell the doctors because back pain is “normal” so “don’t be a wimp” is what I thought.’
However, a concerned follower thought the discomfort could be something more.
‘Someone very sweet in my dms sent me a message that it could possibly be my kidney.’
Jana wrote she didn’t want the pain to get in the way of her trip, so she and Allan, 42, ‘boarded the plane to Florida.’
‘I just couldn’t handle the pain anymore and I started to feel even more sick so we went to the hospital.’
The concerned person who sent the message to her was right, and Jana was suffering from ‘a bad bacterial infection that got into the kidneys.’

Amazing man: Jana gave a shoutout to her ‘amazing man’ who refused to return to their hotel and instead stayed by her side in a pull out chair in the hospital room. ‘Find u a man who doesn’t make u feel bad or leave ur side when ur not feeling good,’ she advised
‘This resulted in a 2 day stay in hospital and antibiotics because I let it get passed where I should have.’ The Soccer Mom Madam star admitted to being a ‘slight hypochondriac’ when it comes to her health.
‘Lesson. Listen to ur body,’ she advised.
‘Ur not a baby or inconveniencing people. If u hurt, talk to ur doctor. Leaving things for too long or not taking care of yourself when ur not feeling good can become very serious.’
She also gave a shoutout to her ‘amazing man’ who refused to return to their hotel and instead stayed by her side in a pull out chair in the hospital room.
‘*Tip… Find u a man who doesn’t make u feel bad or leave ur side when ur not feeling good,’ the Circles singer advised.
She also sent her thanks to ‘the nurses at Good Samaritan hospital in west palm. Y’all were the sweetest. Xx’
Jana and the former soccer star went official with their romance in January and announced they were expecting in June.
The mom-to-be revealed the baby was a boy on her Whine Down podcast June 26, saying, ‘I had to go check on that fibroid when I was in Los Angeles filming, and we did the anatomy scan. They saw the part, so we are having a boy! Yay!’
The I Won’t Give up artist is already mom to Jolie, seven, and Jace, four, whom she shares with former husband, Mike Caussin.

Allan is dad to son Troy 16, and former step-daughter Claudia, who he co-parents with his former partner.
Jana said her kids are ‘super excited’ about having a new sibling.
