Sigler, now 44, famously portrayed rebellious teenager Meadow Soprano in the hit drama, which aired for six seasons spanning 1999-2007, with Gandolfini playing her on-screen dad, Tony.
The actress was left stunned by Gandolfini's sudden death from a heart attack at the age of 51. However, at his funeral, Sigler chose to share her gratitude as she stood over his coffin.
'Thank you,' she recalled saying to Gandolfini during his funeral, held at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine.
'Thank you for loving me, thank you for seeing me, for caring for me, and for making me feel safe.'

Sopranos creator David Chase delivered the eulogy during the somber ceremony also attended by Edie Falco, Lorraine Bracco, Steve Schirripa, Steve Buscemi, Aida Turturro, Joe Pantoliano, John Turturro, Julianna Margulies, Woody Johnson, Chris Christie, Mario Batali, Alec Baldwin and Chris Noth.
'This was the true ending of The Sopranos,' the Long Island native mused in her new 288-page autobiography.
'Jim had been the sun that we all revolved around; he had been the center. With him, the entire experience was now laid to rest.'

When Sigler was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 25 years ago, Gandolfini was one of the few people she secretly told about struggling with the autoimmune disease of the central nervous system
The Man in the Window actress told Us Weekly last month: 'Sometimes, if we were at a cast party or a charity event, he would pull me aside and be like, "How's the MS? Tell me what's going on."
