EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has revealed he won’t be going on a booze and sex ban during his stint on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The soap star is competing on the BBC show’s 20th series and has admitted there’s no need to cut out alcohol and sex and stick to a healthy regime.
‘No booze ban for me. I’ve never drunk ever in my life and no one loves me, so I can’t do a sex ban! No bans for me, just loads of food,’ he told MailOnline ahead of this weekend’s launch show.
Jamie single declaration comes just weeks after he sparked romance rumours with his EastEnders co-star Jazzy Phoenix.

Jamie, 30, has appeared in the BBC soap as Jay Brown for nearly 20 years. His co-star Jazzy, 24, only joined the show towards the end of last year as Nadine Keller but the pair have grown close.
Jazzy took to social media last month to share a mirror selfie of herself and Jamie which she had edited with a black-and-white filter. She wrote: ‘Weekly gossip = complete.’
Earlier this year, it was thought that Jazzy was in a relationship with her other co-star Bobby Brazier, who coincidently appeared on Strictly last year.
Jamie has insisted that his own stint on the dance show won’t improve his romantic prospects, telling MailOnline: ‘a load of mums [will throw themselves at me], which’ll be great.
‘Oh, my mum loves it. My nan loves it.’
‘The EastEnders’ fan base is everything from children to great grandparents so that’s great. But as long as everyone all across the hall is happy and having fun, then we’re happy.’
His stint will mark a return to Strictly Come Dancing after he competed in the Christmas Special last year, being crowned champion alongside professional dancer Nancy Xu.
He said: ‘I had a ball doing the Strictly Christmas special last year, so when I was asked to join for this series it was the easiest yes!

‘This is a fresh challenge and it will be so different to be learning a new dance every week and for the public to have their say.
In 2008 his role in EastEnders earned him a British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor, he then went on to win Best Actor at the Inside Soap Awards in 2023.
Strictly returns to screens on Saturday September 14.
