Jameela Jamil recently revealed why she refuses to take part in sex scenes after candidly admitting to having been a former internet troll.
The British actress, 39, joined David Tennant on his podcast David Tennant Does a Podcast With… to discuss her experiences with internet trolling and her passionate mission to promote empathy and civil discourse.
And the star admitted she has even lost out on work as she shared her firm stance on never taking part in sex scenes, stating that her contracts specifically forbid them, despite previously considering a career in the porn industry.
She told David: ‘All my contracts are no sex scenes, very little kissing and I’ll only do comedy kissing.’
‘I dropped out of two projects this year because they wanted me to be physically intimate with the other person and I was just like, I just can’t take myself seriously here. This is too weird. It’s ridiculous. I could pretend to kill someone.’
David responded: ‘Are you sure’ as Jameela replied: ‘I could pretend to do all, I pretended to fall down a sinkhole, I could do all kinds of things, but I won’t do that.’

The Scottish actor, 53, also asked Jameela how she deals with the downside of fame and the torrents of abuse from trolls.
In response, Jameela candidly admitted that she was once a troll herself, without even realising it.
She shared: ‘I used to be an internet troll, David. I was an internet c**t. I didn’t even realise I was, but I was just on the internet just to make fun of people and be mean.’
Jameela continued: ‘This is at the very beginning of social media and I was s**t shaming and I was a misogynist and I didn’t know anything about activism. I didn’t know what the word patriarchy was.’
‘I didn’t know anything because I was just mentally ill and lonely and insane. So I would get online and just be a little b***h.’
She went on: ‘So I understand the mentality of someone who feels so disempowered in their own life, and they have so much rage pent up and need to go somewhere and they can’t for whatever reason express it where they are,’
‘So they just think, “Oh, this is all so dehumanised. I’m just going to spur out some s**t online and it’s not really going to hurt anyone because it’s just words” so I kind of get it so it doesn’t really bother me.’
Jameela added: ‘When I see that I go, you’re lonely or you’re having a mental health crisis.’

David asked: ‘So when you were doing that what changed? Was there a moment when you went hang on?’
Jameela then explained: ‘Yeah, I had a nervous breakdown and I got therapy and I became a happier person and started living a happier life.’
‘Then boom the urge to be a c**t went away but I was one and I own that and I understand it and I’m really glad now, kind of.’
Jameela is a British presenter, and activist known for her distinctive voice and passion for social justice.
