Jake Quickenden’s pregnant wife Sophie left fans in hysterics with her ‘honest reaction’ after discovering she was having a third son and would soon be outnumbered.
The couple, who wed in 2022, took to Instagram with their gender reveal alongside their boys on Saturday as the family cut open a cake to discover if the sponge inside was blue or pink.
Sophie, who already shares son Leo, three, with the X Factor star, 35, and her other son Freddie from a previous relationship, said: ‘My gut is saying boy’.
While Jake agreed: ‘My gut is saying boy as well, I think we are going to be a family of boys’ before tentatively pushing champagne glasses into the icing to reveal a blue cake inside.
As the singer excitedly squealed: ‘It’s a brother it’s a brother’, Sophie groaned: ‘For God’s sake. I knew it. Ah man, where are all the girls at?’.

While Jake later wrote: ‘We are over the moon, as long as the little one is healthy and happy that’s all that matters, Soph would have liked a girl to back her up, but we are so used to boys and we couldn’t be happier,’
‘Can’t wait to see if he looks like Leo, can’t wait to watch Fred and Leo with him…. Now we need to get a name??’.
Last month Sophie, after announcing her pregnancy, showed off her blossoming bump in a pink swimsuit and later clarified the colour, insisting it was not a hint of her baby’s gender after some fans speculated she is having a girl.
She wrote: ‘Also guys the swimsuit is not a hint to the gender. We didn’t know what we were having at this point. I also had sickness with both the boys but definitely worse this time around.’
Alongside the snap of her in the swimsuit she said: ‘Thank you for all your lovely messages & congratulations. I am slowly trying to get through them all.
‘This pregnancy has definitely felt tougher than my other two. I’ve been really sick for the past 9 weeks and it’s still going. And the tiredness, WOW..
‘I forgot about that!! 12 hours sleep a night apparently isn’t enough. I’ve felt quite low at times feeling like this & bad that I can’t be a present mum, wife & friend all the time. I’m hoping I’ll start to now feel more myself & be in more of a positive mindset.
