Paul Hogan’s grandson has been jailed for breaking into apartment blocks ‘to fuel his high-level drug habit’, and for menacing an ex-girlfriend.
Jake Paul Hogan was caught on what police described as ‘high quality CCTV’ breaking into different luxury apartment blocks after ‘blatantly loitering’ outside.
The son of Todd Hogan, one of five children Hollywood star ‘Hoges’ had with his first wife Noelene, Jake is a trained carpenter but police say he has a serious drug addiction.
According to the police facts, the 34-year-old can be plainly seen breaking into an apartment block in the inner Sydney suburb of Pyrmont, dressed in a black muscle T-shirt with ‘Los Angeles’ in gold lettering, shorts and white New Balance sneakers.
On another occasion he was wearing a black ‘L’HISTOIRE’ singlet and black shorts to break into a block in nearby Waterloo.
Police later found him carrying Trojan brand wire cutters, a black torch, Allen keys and an adjustable wrench.
Hogan also breached an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order five days after it was taken out by an ex-girlfriend, texting her the word ‘DOG’ while she was in the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Tallia Hattan then received a further 42 calls from different payphones over four hours while in her hospital bed with him either ‘crying on the phone… or becoming very angry and yelling’.
The police facts detail Hogan’s high numbers of arrests and breaches and 18 prior charges including custody of a knife in a public place, malicious damage, drug possession, multiple frauds, shoplifting, and possessing stolen goods.
In the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday a lawyer entered guilty pleas on Hogan’s behalf.
He did not attend as he was in prison for charges of break and entering, possessing housebreaking implements, larceny and unlawfully obtaining goods.
He also pleaded guilty to breaching the ADVO against his former partner.
Hogan is believed to have previously lived with his now ex-girlfriend at Woolloomooloo, then at an Ultimo flat, before possibly becoming homeless.
On March 2 this year, after hanging outside a harbourfront block in Pyrmont whose apartments are valued at $3 million each, Hogan entered the garage as a black SUV drove out.
He cut through a chain link fence with burglary tools and then cut through the cable on a $1,200 Polygon Path i8 commuter bike and rode away.

Six days later, a female student locked her $600 Giant brand Innova bicycle in the garage of the Mondrian apartment block on Powell Street, Waterloo.
Thirty minutes later, Hogan approached the woman’s bike – which had distinctive Dutch-style handlebars and was covered in Palestinian flag stickers – and twisted the seat repeatedly until it snapped the lock, and rode off.
Hogan was finally taken into custody and refused bail after being caught shoplifting at Coles and Myer in Sydney’s CBD.
He was arrested on February 5 after a staff member spotted him stealing two Dare Iced Coffees at Coles World Square.
Hogan claimed to the worker he was homeless and had no money, later saying to police he had not eaten in days.
He told police he paid $380 weekly rent, and earned $500 weekly from carpentry work and $500 in Centrelink benefits.
Hogan was charged with shoplifting and released on bail with strict conditions, but three days later was caught stealing from Myer on George Street.
On February 8, police were called after Myer security ‘strongly suspected’ Hogan of removing security tags from clothing items.

Paul Hogan’s son by actress and second wife Linda Koslowski, Chance, now aged 24, (father and son pictured together in 2016) has also made news for being troubled
According to court documents, police found him in possession of a black Puma cap, a black KSCY T-shirt, a black Nena & Pasadena T-shirt and one pair of green KSCY cargo shorts, with a total value of $259.97.
After arresting him for shoplifting and breaching his bail conditions, police issued him with an official caution.
Police say that Hogan’s offences show ‘a serious disregard for members of the public and their belongings’.
‘The accused blatantly loiters outside a residential complex if as he knows he can get inside and steal other people’s belongings.
‘The accused has previously said he had a high level drug habit and police believe he steals to fuel that habit. The accused has a distinct pattern of previous non- compliance with imposed bail conditions.’
Hogan will be sentenced at the Downing Centre Local Court in May.

Paul Hogan has also faced adversity with his son Chance, who he had with his second wife and Crocodile Dundee co-star Linda Koslowski.
Chance Hogan, 24, has also made news for being troubled, last year posting a video to Instagram of his bloodied face and collarbone following a hospital visit after sustaining injuries.
The aspiring singer has posted online about Satan and during his teens was captured drinking beer and smoking what looked like a bong at his father’s Hollywood house, and also vomiting outside a Santa Monica venue after his band’s performance.
