Just days after it was revealed his Road House is getting a sequel, Jake Gyllenhaal showed off his singing voice in new Saturday Night Live promos.
The 43-year-old actor is hosting the Season 49 finale of SNL on Saturday, with musical guest Sabrina Carpenter.
The host and musical guest were joined by cast member Bowen Yang for a trio of new promos that dropped on Thursday.
All three of them open with Gyllenhaal stating, ‘Hi, my name is Jake Gyllenhaal and I’m hosting the season finale of SNL this week with Sabrina Carpenter.’ .
The first promo shows Bowen telling Sabrina, ‘your song is stuck in my head,’ likely referring to her hit Espresso.

Carpenter said, ‘Oh, thanks Bowen,’ though when Bowen starting singing the song, it’s clearly not the same song.
‘Yeah, it’s like, “Summertime’s coming everybody’s in their board shorts,’ as Carpenter tries to interject, ‘Oh, that’s not my song, I don’t think.’
Gyllenhaal adds, ‘I’m sure it is, it’s like, “Summertime, board shorts hanging by the boardwalk with all my friends and stuff.’
Carpenter adds, ‘Wait, that’s actually really good, guys,’ as both Gyllenhaal and Yang sing together, ‘Board shorts summer!’
The second preview finds Bowen telling Gyllenhaal that his body in his Road House remake was, ‘incredible.’
Yang added that, ‘You actually inspired my fitness journey,’ as a touched Gyllenhaal thanks Yang, though he revealed what his ‘journey’ was all about.
‘Yeah, it inspired me to stay skinny fat. I ain’t doing all that, sucker,’ Yang said, as Carpenter added, ‘No, you look so good Bowen,’ as Yang thanked her.
The final promo found Gyllenhaal asking Carpenter where her surname came from, as the singer answers, ‘It comes out of the woodwork,’ as Gyllenhaal and Yang both laugh.

Earlier this week, Amazon’s Prime Video revealed that Gyllenhaal’s Road House remake has amassed, ‘nearly 80 million viewers’ to date, while announcing a sequel.
The follow-up was announced at Amazon’s first ever upfront presentation in New York, by Amazon MGM Studio chief Jennifer Salke.
‘As we saw this spring the world went crazy for a little movie called Road House,’ she said at the presentation.
‘Nearly 80 million viewers globally have watched Road House. We like to watch this these results like a baby,’ she added.
