Jada Pinkett Smith set her Instagram account to private Monday after a post of a quote that had people speculating.
The actress, 52, who has 11 million followers on the social media platform, put up a picture of a text block with a detailed message.
It read, ‘A man can CHOOSE to belong to someone. And if he does… he is considered noble. A woman is told she MUST belong to someone or … she is not worthy.’
The Baltimore-born star captioned the message, ‘Even in some of our great religious traditions the goddess is rendered powerless without her male counterpart.
‘And in others, the spiritual influence of the feminine, of Mother … is not even recognized.’

The Red Table Talk host continued, ‘We mere mortal women are worthy simply because we exist!
‘And those of us who have cultivated our Queendom within our inner kingdom and have a deep relationship with the Great Supreme.
Pinkett Smith said that ‘if we so CHOOSE to bond with someone from this space … we will erect monumental love and give birth to treasures.’
She wrapped up in saying, according to People, ‘We need not bond in fear. You … are … greatness. Walk with that this here Monday.’
Pinkett Smith on Sunday posted a series of images to the site recapping her experiences this past summer, while bidding farewell to the season.
‘Summer is coming to an end and my heart has been blooming in so many ways,’ Pinkett Smith said in the caption of the post, according to People. ‘Can’t wait to share. Till then…I’m just embracing the last of the summer vibez.’
The outlet noted that one of the frames in the carousel was ‘a video of her riding a jet ski with an unidentified man,’ which had people in the comment thread speculating on who it was, some alluding to her estranged spouse Will Smith, 55.
The pair, who have been wed since New Year’s Eve of 1997, and are parents to son Jaden, 26, and daughter Willow, 23, while the Oscar-winner is also father to son Trey, 31, with ex-wife Sheree Zampino, 56.

Smith, who said last year that she and Will have been separated since 2016, told the outlet that she and the Men In Black actor ‘still figuring it out’ and have been ‘been doing some really heavy-duty work together.’
She added, ‘We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.
‘My children, they’re little gurus. They’ve taught me a deep sense of self-acceptance.’
