Their relationship has been anything but smooth sailing and on Wednesday night it was confirmed that after nine years and 's marriage is over.
The couple split last March, however they appeared to have patched things up with a 'make-or-break getaway' to in June before later celebrating their eight year wedding anniversary.
However it seems that despite their efforts there was no future for the couple and the star, 33, is understood to have insisted on a divorce from former The Only Way Is Essex regular Dan, 34, after 'mentally checking out' of their relationship for good.
The couple, who are parents to young daughters Ella, 11, and Mia, seven, exchanged vows in 2017 after dating for four years. Dan also has son Teddy, 12, from a previous relationship.
Jacqueline first met Dan at an awards ceremony in 2013 and romance rumours soon began to fly while Dan's ex Megan Tomlin was still pregnant with their son Teddy.
Two years later Dan popped the question during a romantic getaway to and they tied the knot two years later at Cheshire Manor House.

Yet over the years their turbulent marriage has faced numerous difficulties, among them multiple claims of infidelity levelled at Dan, who has previously been accused of cheating on his wife with former Love Island contestants Gabby Allen and Alexandra Cane, engaging in an alleged threesome and has himself admitted to being unfaithful.
The pair split eight months into Jacqueline's second pregnancy after enduring a 'string of heated rows'.
The Daily Mail exclusively revealed at the time that the star had contacted a mystery girl to quiz her over an alleged night of passion with her estranged husband.
Jacqueline had heard on the grapevine that Dan had allegedly had sex with the woman during the summer prior, just months after their fairytale wedding.
In her message, the actress demanded to know if there was truth in the matter, insisting that she won't be angry with her if there is.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, the woman claimed she had a one-night stand with Dan after being mutual friends for a while, and meeting by chance in an Essex bar.
She alleged that the former TOWIE star told her that he was 'on a break from Jacqueline and things weren't working out' when they met.
The woman said she felt 'surprised, shocked, and awful' when she heard that Dan was still with Jacqueline and had been consumed by guilt, so felt compelled to tell her story after Jacqueline messaged her.
The star confirmed Dan would still be present at the birth as she opened up about the status of her relationship in an interview on Loose Women.
She explained: 'I'm good, honestly. I think, when stuff goes on at home, it's not normal for it to be everywhere.
'But it's not necessarily true or the reasons why you're not getting on at the moment. That's all I really want to say but I'm all good.'
Dan was first linked to Gabby after they were spotted getting close on a yacht in Marbella in 2018.
After a fan commented they looked 'cosy', Dan hit back, writing: 'Cosy with another woman. I am speaking and laughing with a friend. But of course a man and and a woman can’t be friends in this day and age can they. Also you don’t know me, don’t know how I "act".'
Gabby's then boyfriend Marcel Somerville also accused Gabby of cheating on him with Dan, however Gabby denied the claims insisting she was '100% faithful' throughout their relationship.
At the time The Sun claimed that Dan sent 'flirty messages' to his former Celebrity Big Brother co-star Gabby - months after the pair vehemently denied claims that they'd had an illicit tryst.
Then, in March 2019 rumours began to circulate that he had kissed Love Island's Alexandra Cane in a nightclub, which they both denied.
Things really came to a head the following December during Jacqueline's time in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.
It was reported that Jacqueline threatened to quit the show in unaired scenes, after fellow contestant Myles Stephenson spoke to her in the jungle about his ex Gabby's relationship with Dan.
Myles explained that Jacqueline had repeatedly attempted to get the full story out of him, begging him to tell her what he knew about the alleged affair, before he finally caved.
He said: 'She [Jacqueline] tried to ask me on air [about Dan and Gabby], we were in the main camp, and I said: "Look, this isn't the time to talk about this. Nobody needs to know about this.'
'So when we went to do a trial together, we were on our way there and she asked again, and started crying. She said: "Look, I need to know for my own sanity."

Jacqueline was allegedly 'hysterical' following Myles' admission and refused to carry on with the ITV show without speaking to Dan and the pair were reportedly allowed to leave voicemails about the situation.
While Jacqueline was in the jungle, Dan was also rocked by cheating claims after it was alleged he engaged in a threesome with his Celebrity Big Brother co-stars Natalie Nunn and Chloe Ayling last year - which he strongly denied.
However after endless denials, Dan finally admitted he had been unfaithful and then referenced his misgivings in a post.
Dan publicly apologised to Jac a week after she was crowned queen of the jungle on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and he met her for a sweet embrace on the bridge.
He confessed to making 'mistakes' and said 'I've done things I shouldn't have done' as he finally took responsibility for his actions.
Dan even admitted that if Jacqueline had behaved the same way he did, he would have walked out on their relationship, saying, 'If it was the other way around I'd be gone.'
He put out a statement, which read: 'So after weeks, months and years of constant articles and rumours, some true, some very untrue I want to publicly say I know I have made mistakes.
'We all do as humans, but I've made some that have almost cost me my family.
'I am the luckiest man in the world to have what I have with Jacqueline and my three incredible children and I will spend the rest of my life being the best husband and dad that I can be.
'Jac, myself and our families are excited for the future, one filled with love and happiness together.
'We truly appreciate everyone that has supported us as a couple, we are ending this year stronger than ever.'
The post was uploaded just hours after Jacqueline addressed how things were on Lorraine, saying her husband has 'done wrong' but that she wanted to 'restart their relationship'.
Not holding back, she said: 'The thing is, it’s really funny because we've been going through it for two years - this isn’t new for me.
'I want to hit the restart button, it’s been two years of me giving him hell, he knows he’s done wrong, there's lots of stuff that’s not true that I can’t talk about for legal reasons, but we're OK.'
After weathering the storm of his infidelities, in 2020 the couple hit headlines again when Jacqueline moved out during the pandemic.
The actress claimed she needed 'time and space' amid claims her marriage had become 'unworkable' under the strain of lockdown.
While it was reported that Dan had been caught messaging other women, a source confirmed to The Daily Mail at the time that this was untrue and that the couple were planning on 'reassessing' their relationship once the lockdown was over.
They also believed it was unhealthy for the children to see them arguing while all holed up in their £1 million home together.
After once again patching things up, fans became concerned in 2024 when Dan appeared absent from Jacqueline's Instagram snaps over the Easter holidays.
One of her followers asked in the comments: 'Are you still with Dan?' But the star later shut down any rumours that the pair had parted ways as she told him 'I love you' in response to his Instagram round up of the family's holiday to Dubai.
He captioned the post: 'Lovely week in Dubai. Mad we experienced that rain out there, floods were crazy, we were lucky, but hope everyone that was affected are ok.'
Jacqueline commented on the post as she dismissed any split suspicions, writing: 'I love you. Thank you for the memories.'
Last March it appeared the couple had hit the rocks for good when Jacqueline after she and Dan spent three years renovating the home.

Despite Jacqueline wanting to give their marriage another go, pals reportedly told The Sun that Dan no longer loved her and wanted to move on with his life.
The source said: 'Dan has fallen out of love with Jacqueline and there's no way back for him.
'Jacqueline is absolutely devastated and will do anything to make it work.
'Dan has told friends it's over for him and while he won't be rushing into a divorce, it's not a question of if they will, but when.'
Jacqueline is 'putting on a brave face' and the former couple are working on building a positive friendship for the sake of their children.
At the time there was apparently no discussion regarding divorce and the pair seemed to turn a corner after embarking on a 'make-or-break' getaway to Mexico.
They later documented their family holiday to Gran Canaria on Instagram and sources revealed they were even thinking of renewing their vows to keep the romance alive and 'get things back on track'.
However, just five months ago, Dan was caught liking another girl's bikini snaps on Instagram with Closer reporting at the time that he was back to his 'old tricks'.
Dan was reportedly seen liking model Rosey Victoria's posts and a source told the magazine: 'Dan has proved time and time again that he can't be trusted.
'Nothing means more to Jac than Dan - she's desperate for her marriage to work and doesn't care at what cost.
'But the fact of the matter is, he can't help himself and friends worry that he's up to his old tricks again.'
The Daily Mail understood at the time that Dan and Rosey are pals and the pair both follow each other on the social media platform.
Dan also apparently sent flirty text messages to Christine McGuinness last year.
The former TOWIE star and Paddy McGuinness's ex failed in their attempts to hide their growing bond from as far back as 2019, after it was reported the pair have leant on one another during their respective marriage woes.
It was claimed that the pair exchanged 'flirty texts' while acting as a source of comfort during their personal struggles and they were previously pictured together at London’s The Hoxton hotel in March 2023.
Sources had claimed that Christine and Dan comforted each other through their marital woes, and exchanged a string of flirty texts in which the model reportedly called Dan 'D'.
After news of their close friendship came to light, Christine reportedly said she is 'absolutely adamant nothing sexual happened between them both', with Dan suggesting the messages are 'deep fakes or AI'.
A source close to Christine told The Sun that Dan 'mainly led the way with texts', which often involved 'platonic stuff about their kids'.
This week it was revealed the pair have ended their nine-year marriage after 'living apart' for much of the year following a secret trial separation.
Sources have told The Sun the split this time is 'permanent', adding: 'Everyone knows they've had their troubles, but after spending some time apart this year, they've decided to make the split permanent. Their two daughters are their main priority.'

'She has mentally checked out of the relationship for the first time and Dan has panicked. He's worried the grass isn't greener and has had the shock of his life that he's pushed Jac too far this time.'
Friends of Jacqueline are reportedly 'so pleased' she has finally checked out of the marriage for good after years of 'begging' her to leave.
The Daily Mail has contacted Jacqueline and Dan's representatives for comment.
They appeared to be signs the pair had split after The Sun revealed the pair briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
After being contacted for comment, Jacqueline reportedly re-followed Dan, with him returning the gesture the following morning.
Dan also suggested his marriage was over a week ago after venturing out without his wedding ring.
He was pictured without his wedding band last week as he prepared for an appearance at a London screening of Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come, just days before their split came to light.
The father-of-three appeared downcast as he departed the Essex home he purchased at the time of their original split last year.
Further clues emerged through their social media activity, with Dan notably absent from Jacqueline's recent posts.
In fact, he hasn't appeared on her Instagram grid since Halloween, sparking speculation among fans.
While both have continued to share glimpses of family life with their children, neither has been tagging or referencing the other in recent weeks.
Jacqueline also posted a heartfelt Mother's Day tribute, writing that her daughters 'make life worth living'.
Meanwhile, Dan did not publicly acknowledge the occasion as he had done in the past.
Instead, he appeared to hint at a more introspective mindset, sharing a mirror selfie on his Instagram Story with the caption: 'It's just you vs your mind every single day.'
