Jackie ‘O’ Henderson became emotional on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday morning as she opened up about a difficult period in her life.
Speaking to fill-in co-host Cooper Johns and newsreader Brooklyn Ross, the 49-year-old revealed she was really ‘struggling’ during winter last year.
‘I was kind of going through stuff last year that wasn’t excellent,’ she said.
She explained family and friends would come and go from her beachside home in the eastern suburbs and spotted a whale breaching in the ocean from her balcony, but she would always miss the moment.
‘All of last winter — because you can see the beach from my place — every time someone would come over to my house, whether it be personal trainer, a friend, family, they’d always be sitting in the lounge, and then they’d go, “Oh, my God, a whale!”‘ she explained.

‘They’d see a whale jump out. And every single time, we’d look and then I’d be looking in the wrong direction. They go there and I’d miss that it it just was like this running joke. Everyone but me would see these whales jump out of the ocean.
She went on to say she finally saw the whale breach on Thursday and in that moment ‘she knew she was good’.
‘Life wasn’t exactly amazing (then). But I just knew in my mind that the day I finally see that whale jump out of the ocean is the day I know it’s a sign from the universe to go, “you’re good now”.’
‘I now know that my life is on the right path and I know things are good in my life.’

Jackie recently said she has stayed single since her split from ex-husband Lee Henderson, but has not been lonely of late as she and her ‘toy boy tradie’ Jack Tyerman appear to be going strong.
The pair were spotted out on another date in Sydney over the weekend, going to dinner at popular French dining destination Restaurant Hubert.
The genetically blessed pair strolled to the eatery together with chivalrous Jack opening the door for the radio star.
Jackie addressed the pair’s relationship on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show when her co-host Kyle Sandilands questioned her about another recent date.
‘We went together to the restaurant and I didn’t want to drive and told him to drive [my car],’ she explained, adding that Jack lives close by.
‘He is cute but no there is nothing going on… We went out with his sister and her husband. We were just catching up.’

She also spoke about the relationship in August last year.
While Jackie admitted she was ‘dating’ at the time, she said she and Jack were ‘just friends’.
‘No, Jack is not my boyfriend. We’re not in a relationship. He is not my boy toy,’ Jackie told her radio co-host Kyle.
‘Jack is a good friend of mine. I know him through a friend of ours. We didn’t meet on a dating app or anything like that.’
The media personality went on to say she was ultimately ‘to blame’ for the romance rumours after she told Daily Mail Australia she was dating someone during a Logies interview.
‘In my mind, I’m dating and I’ve been on a few dates, so I said “maybe” [I’m dating], but I probably should have said, “Maybe, we’ll see what happens”,’ she confessed.
Not long after that, Jackie and Jack were seen enjoying what appeared to be a romantic moonlit date on the balcony of her Clovelly mansion.
