She might have been at the top of the radio tree for more than two decades, but Jackie, 50, proved that even the most seasoned professionals can occasionally slip up.
The radio queen was nowhere to be seen as her co-host Kyle Sandilands came back from a break, sending many into panic mode.
A clip shared to the Kyle And Jackie O Instagram page showed a clock ticking down from 11 seconds as the strains of Queen’s Bicycle Song played over the footage.
The clip began by showing both Jackie’s and Kyle’s empty chairs as the clock inched closer to zero.
Staff could be seen feverishly running around the KIIS offices looking for their absent host and throwing headphones back over their ears.

The clip then showed Kyle returning to his chair, and throwing off his ‘cans’ while Jackie’s seat remained empty.
Ever the professional, Kyle soldiered on regardless, saying: ‘Any time someone comes on air today they will receive a free e-bike.’
His co-star’s tardiness proved too much for Kyle who said: ‘Where’s Jackie gone?’
Kyle quickly received his answer when Jackie came running into the studio with a rushed: ‘I’m here.’
‘I had no idea we were on air,’ sorry,’ Jackie said as she gathered herself before asking ‘How long have you guys been on air for?’
When Kyle replied ‘A minute,’ a clearly shocked Jackie said ‘When you’re a minute late on radio it seems like forever.’
Jackie’s absence without leave comes after she revealed an insight into her net worth this week.

DeepSeek claimed Jackie is worth $10million, while Grok and ChatGPT said she has an estimated $50million.
Jackie said she didn’t know the answer, but newsreader Brooklyn Ross did reveal her house alone is worth over $10million.
‘I’m going to ask my accountant today,’ Jackie said.
It comes after a recent report claimed Jackie has a net worth of over $50million, which continues to grow.
In November 2023, the radio star and co-host Kyle signed a record-breaking $200 million deal with Australian Radio Network (ARN).
This would see them remain on airwaves until 2034 and earn a whopping $10million a year salary.
According to the Financial Review, Kyle and Jackie’s contracts ‘include a base salary, a percentage share of revenue above what is now earned – known as “incremental growth” and sign-on bonuses mainly made up of shares in ARN.’
Kyle and Jackie O are currently the highest-paid stars in radio with an impressive real estate portfolio to show for it.

In March, it was revealed Jackie splashed-out $13.25million on a three-storey oceanfront house in Clovelly at an open auction.
The fixer-upper is set back from the road, offering privacy she didn’t have on the narrow streets of her former address in Woollahra.
She also offloaded her Woollahra mansion one month later for $13million, after originally paying $11million for the property in 2020.
Sandilands recently located to Vaucluse with wife Tegan, after renting a $13.8million Bellevue Hill mansion for $8000 per week.
The KIIS FM co-hosts both started their radio careers early, but didn’t really ‘make it’ until they were randomly paired up together to host Austereo’s national Hot30 Countdown in the year 2000.
Since then, the on-air powerhouse have gone from strength to strength and in October 2022, were crowned the Best On-Air Team in the FM category for a record eighth time at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards.
‘He is my ride or die,’ Jackie said accepting the award. ‘I know what you’re gonna say before you even say it.
‘We laugh, we cry … but you’ve always supported me and I am just so grateful that you have been the one by my side throughout this. If you ride off a cliff, I’ll ride off it with you.’
In an attempt to find a silver lining in this morbid revelation, Jackie asked Kyle how long he’d take off-air to grieve her death.
‘The weekend, probably.’
