JENNIFER Lopez has removed her tattoo tribute to ex-husband Ben Affleck, nearly a year after finalizing their divorce.
The Hollywood couple started dating back in 2002, after meeting on the film set of Gigli, but split in 2004 after a failed engagement.
The couple reunited in 2021 and finally married in July 2022, before Jennifer filed for divorce in August 2024.
On Valentine’s Day in 2023, Jennifer unveiled a new ink in commemoration of her then-husband: an infinity symbol with an arrow through it, presumably one of Cupid’s to mark her and Ben’s love.
Placed high on her right rib cage, each of their names swirled in cursive lettering.
During a recent red carpet event where Jennifer wore a dress with open sides, it appeared that the tattoo had been altered, or at least concealed with makeup.
However a source previously told DeuxMoi that Jennifer still had the infinity tattoo minus Ben’s name, which she had covered up with an ink of a ‘hummingbird’.
In terms of symbolism, hummingbird tattoos often stand for ‘resilience’ and ‘renewal’ depending on how they’re depicted – a rather fitting sentiment for someone going through a divorce.
Speculation around Jennifer removing the commemorative tattoo arose again after one of her latest TikTok posts, promoting her Las Vegas residency.
The star is seen wearing fishnet tights and a black lingerie set, leaving her ribs entirely visible.
The infinity tattoo isn’t fully clear to make out, but from a distance it no longer resembles its default silhouette of being an ‘8’ on its side.
The news comes nearly two months after Jennifer and Ben made an unexpected reunion at the New York premiere of their film Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Jennifer stars in the film, while her ex-husband was one of the movie’s producers.
Though the impromptu get-together was far from awkward, as the duo stood together for a series of snaps.
“You’re here!” Jennifer reportedly exclaimed, looking momentarily surprised as she noticed her ex standing nearby with fellow actor Tonatiuh.
Ben gestured toward Tonatiuh and asked, “Picture?” prompting Jennifer to respond with a smile.
“I’ll get in the picture right now.”
