Isla Fisher’s Heartfelt Father’s Day Tribute to Ex Sacha Baron Cohen After Divorce

Isla Fisher has shared a touching tribute to ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen after the pair finalised their divorce on Friday.

The Australian actress, 49, posted a Father’s Day message to the comedian, 53, with whom she shares three children, to Instagram on Tuesday.

Praising Sacha for being the ‘best father’ to their two daughters and one son, Isla also included a throwback photo of the Borat star cradling one of their kids as a baby.

‘And forever… Happy Father’s Day to the best father our children could hope for @sachabaroncohen,’ she captioned the image.

Sacha was all smiles in the old photo as he held his child up for the camera.

Isla Fisher, 49, has shared a touching tribute to ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen, 53, after the pair finalised their divorce on Friday

Isla ensured she placed a red love-heart emoji over the face of the young tot, as she and Sacha are notoriously private about their children.

It comes after the former couple revealed they had finalised their £120million (AU$251million) divorce in a statement released on Friday.

In a message, posted simultaneously on both of their Instagram sites, the pair said: ‘Our divorce has now been finalised.

‘We are proud of all we’ve achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children.

‘We ask for the media to continue to respect our children’s privacy.’

Sacha and Isla first met in 2001 and married in 2010. They were believed to have one of the strongest marriages in showbusiness – before quietly separating in 2023.

They then publicly announced their break-up in April 2024, and it now appears they have amicably resolved any differences there might have been between the pair.

A source said: ‘It’s all sorted. Now Sacha and Isla both just want to get on with the rest of their lives – and focus on their family’s well-being.’

The couple first met at a party in Sydney, Australia, in 2001.

Speaking of their first encounter, Sacha recalled quickly noticing Isla was ‘hilarious’.

He remembered: ‘We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people at the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did.’

The pair announced their separation last year with a picture of themselves wearing tennis whites.

They confirmed in an accompanying message: ‘After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.

‘We have always prioritized [sic] our privacy and have been quietly working through this change.

‘We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.’
