Isla Fisher took to social media on Friday to take credit for introducing legendary Hollywood comedian Larry David to his wife Ashley Underwood.
The Australian actress, 48, made the surprising admission on Instagram, as she shared a precious birthday tribute to her close friend Ashley.
Alongside a sweet photo of Isla posing up a storm with Ashley and her husband Larry, 77, she wrote some heartfelt words.
‘Happiest of birthdays. Despite us being the most mismatched roommates in 2001, our adventures and mischief were unmatched,’ Isla began.
The Oman-born star then revealed she was the one who introduced Ashley to her future husband, who she married in 2020.
‘You may be from Georgia and I may be an Aussie…. But I did introduce you to your hubs!’ she said.
Isla filmed a role in an episode of Larry’s long-running comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2019, shortly before David met Ashley.

The couple announced the shock news by sharing a picture to Instagram of themselves together wearing tennis gear.
Their statement read: ‘After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.

‘In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritised our privacy and have been quietly working through this change.
‘We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.’
The couple first met back in 2001 and tied the knot in 2010 and they share three children.
