The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt has broken her silence after being painted as the villain on the hit Hulu series.
In a tell-all interview with The Squeeze podcast, the 31-year-old called out the show’s editing and accused one of her castmates of ‘sabotaging’ her on camera.
She also said that the fallout from the series airing had left her in a ‘very dark place’ and made it ‘hard to watch’ back.
Whitney started by blasting the show’s editing, claiming that they made it look like she was reacting to castmate Taylor Frankie Paul’s infamous swinging TikTik video in the first episode, when in reality she was talking about a completely different video.
‘The video that we’re talking about is not the video of the [swinging] scandal, it’s a completely different video,’ she explained.

‘It makes it seem like I’m upset about this whole swinger scandal,’ she said.
She also insisted that she has no ill will towards Taylor and ‘didn’t judge her’ for the swinging scandal.
Whitney then brought up the ‘Fruity Pebbles incident’ that led to her clashing with castmate Demi Engemann.
On episode three of the Hulu series, Demi, 29, gets outed by Whitney for using a box of Fruity Pebbles cereal during an oral sex act with her husband Brett.
Although the intimate moment happened before the women had even started filming the show, Whitney shared it with some of the cast behind Demi’s back.
Later that night, Whitney gifted Demi with a box of Fruity Pebbles cereal in front of the other women – leaving the mom-of-one utterly mortified.
‘This specific thing that she was trying to make light of and make a joke was something that was completely intimate and off the table, that was between Brett and I,’ Demi told producers.

Whitney also brought up the ‘Fruity Pebbles incident’ that led to her clashing with castmate Demi Engemann
‘We swore to each other that we would never tell a soul about that. I just think it’s below the belt.’
However, according to Whitney, she told The Squeeze that she’d privately asked Demi for permission to bring up the incident on camera – and Demi agreed.
‘I had called Demi ahead of time asking if it was okay, because I knew that was a very sensitive and private sexual innuendo between their relationship,’ Whitney said.
‘I didn’t want to cross a boundary, so I called her and I asked her and she thought it was funny, her and her husband,’ Whitney continued.
‘So the reason I’m upset in that episode is because she reacted in a way that she was offended, so I had felt sabotaged … was this a decision you made to make me look bad on purpose?’
She added: ‘So that’s why you see that reaction.’

Despite calling out some of the editing on the series, Whitney admitted that nobody had made her do anything.
‘There were decisions that I made during that show that nobody asked me to do,’ she said.
‘Like, I willingly did that, but there was no context behind why I had made certain decisions. But again, that’s that’s the game, I guess.’
