Insider Secrets: Explosive Fights, Cheating Scandal, and Revenge Porn Unfold on Married At First Sight 2024 – Keep an Eye on These Brides and Grooms

The premiere of Married at First Sight’s eleventh season is just hours away. 

And if you thought previous seasons were wild, this year’s participants are set to take things to a whole new level. 

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that season 11 has been the most chaotic series to film.

The upcoming season will be rocked by a cheating scandal, will see multiple cast members walking out and another ‘revenge porn’ incident.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the first episode. 

Runaway brides and grooms

A number of cast members abruptly quit the show, leaving the producers scrambling to pick up the pieces.

Simon Flocco, an Adelaide-based restaurant manager, almost ‘derailed’ the show’s plans to highlight a same-sex couple after he pulled out days before his wedding.

Casting producers were able to find a last-minute replacement and brought the couple in as intruders.

Another insider whispered there will be more than one who doesn’t have any faith in the experts.

‘She was having none of it, and I think she was regretting ever signing up for the show,’ said the source.

Cheating scandal

Daily Mail Australia can reveal the new series will be rocked by yet another cheating scandal.

It seems one groom’s world is about to get shattered when he finds out about his bride’s secret rendezvous.

While it’s yet to be revealed if the betrayal will play out on screens, insiders have let slip that the groom was ‘heartbroken’ when he learnt the news.

‘The cheating scandal only came out because [someone] decided to betray their friend in an attempt to bring in some drama,’ they added. 

Cast members are still trying to work out if it was anything more than gossip. 

Most explosive dinner party and commitment ceremonies to date

Season 11’s dinner parties will be also ‘the most explosive viewers have seen in years’.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal this season’s dinner parties wrapped up filming in record time, when previous ones didn’t finish until the early hours of the morning.

When quizzed about what was so special about this year’s cast, MAFS producers said it reflected a cast that is upfront and unreserved.

‘This crew get things off their chest very early. They don’t hold back,’ relationship expert John Aiken observed, while Mollie noted the cast’s eagerness to dive into discussions about their relationships.

Explosive fights and feuds

Addressing initial reports the upcoming series will be ‘less screechy, shouty’, McWilliams and John Walsh, EP at Nine, assured that while the series is dramatic, it isn’t excessively noisy or hard to follow.

‘There’s no shortage of people calling out bad behavior,’ Walsh said, underlining the show’s commitment to authentic interaction.

Alex Spurway added: ‘This year will be equally as dramatic, shocking, surprising, and constant bombs go off left, right and centre that you don’t expect.’

‘It’s also from places that you don’t expect, from people you don’t expect.’

Standout stars 

Brides Lauren Dunn, Sara Mesa, Eden Harper, and Tori Adams are four names viewers won’t  be forgetting anytime soon.

Lauren and Sara in particular are the life of the party, driving up the drama factor every week.

‘They aren’t afraid of confrontation and were often praised by producers for making the show,’ dished the spy.

Meanwhile, Lauren’s not one to shy away from confrontations as personal trainer Jack Dunkley is about to find out.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, MAFS executive producers Alex Spurway and Mollie Harwood acknowledged there would be no show without these big personalities.

‘Lauren just said exactly what she was thinking at all times, and that’s all we can ask for – genuine reactions and responses,’ Harwood explained.

‘We don’t want a filtered response. We don’t want filtered people, and Lauren understood that.’

As for this year’s cast, Mollie teased: ‘They’re great – they are open, say what they think and they call people to account.’

‘Revenge porn’ scandal

In a troubling twist, a groom faces fierce backlash for sharing intimate snaps of an ex at a gym.

The mystery groom is said to have been outed by a co-star he once considered a ‘friend’ during his daily workouts.

According to relationship John Aiken, the upcoming series will see brides and grooms airing each other’s dirty laundry.

Aiken, 53, teased the new format, stating that this season would be based around the theme of ‘trust’. 

‘I often think loose lips sink ships,’ he told Daily Mail Australia. ‘In this series, people often air dirty laundry when they shouldn’t and there are consequences to that.’ 

Aiken said the issue of trust, or the lack thereof, will be at the forefront of every fiery confrontation.

New look

After filming previous seasons at Skye Suites on Kent Street in Sydney’s CBD, this year producers have moved the cast to Green Square – the posh neighbourhood just a quick 10-minute dash from the airport.

According to whispers around the set, relocating was the producer’s desperate attempt to keep the stars of the show from going AWOL.

‘Last year was just a mess,’ said one insider.

‘Some cast members slipped out the fire escape and didn’t return until the birds chirped at sunrise – they wanted to put a stop to that.’

Fresh accommodation wasn’t the only thing that Channel Nine decided to switch up.

Season 11 will see the newlyweds travel to Byron Bay for three days for a mini getaway, where things will no doubly reach boiling point for some.

Married At First Sight will return to screens on Channel Nine in January, right after the Australian Open.
