Rachel Uchitel finally feels at peace a year after moving from New York City to Palm Beach, Florida.
Referring to the move as her ‘second chance at starting over,’ Rachel, 49, purchased her new abode for $2.59 million in December 2022, but didn’t officially move in until the summer of 2023.
In photos exclusively shared with DailyMail.com, the entrepreneur’s estate-like property is embellished with her own ‘coastal chic’ flare, artwork by Renata Cuellar and cozy décor.
‘I chose a coastal chic design because of the soothing rhythm of the ocean that meets the elegance of simplicity, natural textures and airy spaces,’ Rachel – who made headlines 15 years ago due to her scandalous affair with married, pro-golfer Tiger Woods – explained.
She added: ‘I wanted to create a home that feels as timeless and effortless as the tides themselves.’
The sprawling 3,250-square-foot home features five bedrooms, four baths, and a spacious garage that fits three cars.
After looking at 15 different options, she knew right away after seeing the property online that that would one day be her dream home. But, it almost didn’t happen when she learned someone had offered cash for the one-of-a-kind residence.

‘I would come by and see it driving…I was like, this is my house. I just knew it and I hadn’t even gone inside,’ she gushed.
The features of the Palm Beach property make it just as luxurious with its Saturnia marble floors and vaulted and multi-tiered tray ceilings, as well as granite countertops found in the gourmet chef’s kitchen.
Throughout the home, there’s tropical themed wallpaper plastered in the rooms, beautifully designed cabinetry, lots of closets and storage units, and many different style windows that let in natural light.
The spacious primary suite features high ceilings, a spa-like bathroom with a hot tub and standing shower, and a stunning view of the resort style backyard.
Rachel’s favorite place to hang and entertain is her backyard, which sits on one-and-a-half acres, and features multiple covered seating areas, a built-in grill and BBQ space and a sparkling inground pool.
The backyard has expanded ever since the Alaska native moved in. ‘I’ve added a pickleball court, an inground trampoline and putting green. I am working on drawing up plans right now to build a carriage house in the back for guests and an outdoor entertainment area,’ she revealed.
‘I already have a big entertainment area and a pergola, but I’m going to do another one. I love that there’s so much opportunity on the land and, to me, that’s really fun.’

The former TV correspondent even has her friends coming over to participate in tournaments on her pickleball court.
Rachel told DailyMail.com, ‘I have become a recluse. I could live in my house and not leave. I entertain all the time. I have people over all the time. I love it. It feels spacious enough, but also, it’s cozy and I’m proud of it. I just feel very safe.’
When it comes to real estate advice, she dished, ‘My advice would just be to pick something that you feel like it’s something that you just feel like you are so safe and happy in, because that’s what’s been so important. I’ve never been happier than after moving to Palm Beach.’
Another fun fact about her backyard is that she has a bunch of fruit trees: nine coconut trees, two red Abyssinian banana trees, two avocado trees, an olive tree, mango tree, lychee tree and even a jaboticaba tree (also known as the Brazilian grape tree).
Rachel boasted, ‘I mean, I could live on the land. I always joke about it because I have all this fruit growing in the back, and I love going out there and picking the fruit.’

Although she’s all settled now, the move from NYC to Palm Beach wasn’t an easy one. First, she had to wait for her daughter, Wyatt Lily, to graduate from 6th grade before she could move down south – which is why she pushed back her official move-in date a few months.
Second, she had to work out a custody agreement with her ex-husband, Matt Hahn, whom she got divorced from in January 2014 and has had nasty disputes with in the past.
‘I did have to go through a lot to make that happen. It’s very interesting, but my parenting with my ex-husband is so much better now than it ever was when we were down the street from each other. [We’re] much better friends,’ she said.
In terms of finding the proper schooling for her 12-year-old daughter, Rachel said it was a ‘lottery system’ following Covid, but everything worked out for the better and Wyatt is just as content and even taking part in a competitive travel volleyball team.
‘I’ve never been happier than after moving to Palm Beach,’ she told DailyMail.com
Rachel and her daughter have gotten a taste of Palm Beach in the past since she said her mom has a house on the island and her grandparents also lived in the South Florida town.
Her main focus now, besides her child and her dogs, is her podcast, Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel. Apart from her backyard, she also spends a lot of time in her recording studio, which she built inside her home, to record her episodes.
‘I’m filming at least three times a week,’ she shared. ‘And I built a whole platform based on being misunderstood and my Miss Understood podcast. So, I feel like that to me is absolutely a new chapter.
‘I started the concept of building a studio in my home in those six months before I came down. I was doing some things to the house, and also, I was coming up with the concept of my show. I started the show in March of 2023, and I would fly down to the house and use the studio and do certain things there and then fly home.’
While having already grown her platform, she has hopes of interviewing some of her dream guests one day including Conrad Murray, Manti Te’o, Armie Hammer, Kamala Harris and even President-elect Donald Trump, whom she has interacted with ‘on plenty of occasions.’
Rachel told DailyMail.com, ‘Listen, my life has completely changed. Let me start by saying that I feel happy and in a place of peace finally. So that’s the first thing. The second thing is my platform is also based on the power of second chances. And for me, it was a second chance at starting over and being okay with that and empowered by it as opposed to having it be scary.’
She added, ‘Just doing it was the best leap of faith because it is like that concept of just leaping off a cliff and somebody will catch you. But it’s just that initial fear of the jump is what’s really, it holds people back. And for me, I’m really thankful that I was courageous enough to make these changes.’
