An Australian influencer has revealed the major mistake she almost made during a family holiday to Fiji.
Sarah Stevenson, who runs the blog Sarah’s Day, revealed on Instagram she almost ended the trip one day earlier after confusing their return date.
‘All week long we thought our flight home to Sydney was TODAY,’ she said.
‘We were packed and ready to go until we checked our flight status to discover our flight home is actually TOMORROW!’
She continued: ‘Girl math – we have an extra nights accommodation and day here in Fiji for free.’

Sarah made headlines in March after she made a ‘tone-deaf’ post revealing her ‘big life update’ is that she bought a block of land for a holiday home.
The mother of two announced in a YouTube video she bought a second ‘garbage’ home which she and Kurt plan to completely renovate and use for photo shoots and holidays.
She did not say where they bought, but it appears to be in their home state of NSW.

A day earlier, she had teased a ‘big life update’ that would change her family’s life forever in a post shared with her 1.2 million Instagram followers.
‘I will be sharing some big life updates that will essentially take up a lot of my time for the next few years and change our life really, forever,’ she said.
‘It’s pretty big news for us, that I wasn’t really going to share, but I decided that it’s gonna come out any way.’
When it was revealed on her YouTube channel the following day that this ‘big update’ was that she’d purchased a second home, many fans were upset and expressed their frustration in the comments section of the @InfluencerUpdatesAU account.
‘Hardly call that life changing lmao. What a privilege in the actual crisis that most people are living in at the moment,’ one wrote.

Another said: ‘So many things wrong with this. Firstly, not life changing news really, is it? Just clickbait for us to watch her YouTube video so she gets more views – more money.
‘Secondly, while the rest of us struggle to pay rent/mortgages, keep up with the rising costs of food and fuel here, she is flaunting to her followers that she’s bought another house which leads to thirdly; a holiday house / house to take photos in. What a privilege. It’s great to be able to afford what she’s doing but I don’t think she needed to announce it in such a way.
