An Aussie influencer stunned onlookers during a New Year’s Eve bash in Sydney last week when she made a tone-deaf move during a reflection to honour the Bondi Beach terror attack victims.
Julia Cavanagh rang in the New Year at an A-list event hosted by Emma Pills at her $30 million Vaucluse mansion.
While a one-minute silence was held at 11pm in memory of the victims of the recent terrorist attack, a Daily Mail reporter witnessed Julia, 28, doing a photoshoot.Â
The event came to a standstill during the evening to pay respects to the 15 lives lost on December 14 when two gunmen opened fire at a Hanukkah By The Sea celebration.Â
But while guests gathered together on Emma’s balcony for the moment, Julia was taking photos with another woman and a photographer on the tennis court.
Daily Mail saw Julia posing for pictures as she stood near a projection which showed the names of the Bondi Beach terror attack victims.

At one point, the internet personality was spotted crawling over to grab her bag, which was covering part of the display.Â
It is also understood that the photographer loudly asked, ‘Is there a speech happening?’ as everyone kept their one-minute silence for the memorial.Â
Daily Mail has reached out to Julia for further comment.Â
The event was hosted by Emma Pillemer, best known as Emma Pills, who is the daughter of high-profile fund manager Russell Pillemer.
The Jewish jewellery designer, 24, has been very involved in fundraising for the families of the Bondi Beach massacre victims. Â
The eastern suburbs socialite hosted a ‘Coffee and Cupcakes’ fundraiser in North Bondi at the Speedos Café just before Christmas.
Emma happily chatted with attendees, standing in front of bouquets of flowers and various balloons as she ran the event.
A group of volunteers sold cupcakes, coffee, flowers and pieces from Emma’s jewellery line, Emma Pills, with all proceeds going to the victims’ families.Â

Australia’s most iconic tourist destination was rocked by the mass shooting last month, as the two men allegedly stood on a pedestrian footbridge and opened fire into crowds of locals, holidaymakers and families.
Some had been there to celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Light, which police believe was the intended target of the massacre that has been officially designated a terrorist attack.
