Australia’s current cost of living crisis has certainly hit home for one Queensland influencer.
Cindy Mead took to her Instagram Story this week to share a seemingly innocuous photo showing her supermarket haul.
However, it was the price of her bag of items that shocked the mumpreneur, with Cindy revealing that it set her back more than $300.
‘Is it even a quick market trip if four things don’t turn into $300,’ Cindy captioned the image.
Cindy’s grocery haul consisted of fruit and veg including watermelon, avocado, cucumber and garlic.
She also picked up two packets of what appeared to be organic mince, cheese and organic pasta.

Cindy also purchased 1.5 litres of Made by Cow cold pressed milk which set the influencer back a surprising $11.50.
Her penchant for high-end cleaning products was on full display, too, with Cindy buying a bottle of Dr Bronner’s Sal Suds Biodegradable Cleaner.
The all-purpose cleaner retails for around $44 for a 946ml bottle.
Cindy also picked up packets of what looked to be organic muesli – one containing strawberry, the other mango, as well as a packet of dried apricots.
Clearly a fan of natural products, Cindy’s grocery bag also included a 150-gram tin of Nutra Organics blueberry-flavoured gummies.
The kids’ snack would have set Cindy back around $24.95.
She rounded out her shop with a treat for herself – a 150-gram block of Tony’s Chocolonley milk chocolate, which retails for around $9.95.
Cindy, who boasts 128,000 followers on Instagram, has carved out a niche in the renovation, interior styling influencer space.

In 2024, she also launched her business – Amalie Home – which specialises in refillable containers for cleaning or personal care products.
Cindy, who previously worked in HR, revealed to the Courier Mail in December that she moved into the entrepreneur space after the birth of her daughter in 2022.
‘I worked for the same corporate company in HR for over 16 years, but I think about 10 years into that journey I really longed for something else,’ she said.
‘During my maternity leave, I knew it was time to act.’
She also told the publication that her career as an influencer kicked off nine years ago when she started her Instagram account to document her first home renovation with husband Dan.
‘It has been a ten-year journey to get here and we are almost finished our third reno now,’ she said.
‘[It] would have been my dream home back then and we are very proud of all we have achieved – especially with this one.’
